Can we talk about enneagram for a minute?
Do you know what number you are?
I have taken 3 different tests, and they have all said that I am a 4w3 (and I agree).
For those not familiar with enneagram, it is all about personality types.
The more that I dig in and learn, the more I love it! I love how God made us each so unique, and how there is so much that goes in to who we are!
I also love that it helps us better understand one another. It’s so nice knowing who loved ones are, and better understanding one another.
If you are all about enneagram, I would love for you to share your favorite enneagram tests, books, podcasts, and anything else about it with me!
What is your number?!
Here are links to a couple tests:
At the end of the day. Take your time. Take your time to heal. Take your time to decide what lights you up. Take your time to carve your own path, to first figure out where YOU wanna go and what YOU wanna do. Take your time to evaluate who and what you want in a partner & be patient enough to wait. Refusing to settle. If only we could begin to instill THIS, at a young age. That there is no proverbial checklist that ensures your happiness. That You don’t HAVE to be married by 25, & have kids by 28. Or be a college graduate by 22. Or a college graduate at all. I think it’s absurd we’re expected to know what we wanna do or be at 18 when we’re forced to declare a major. How at 5 years old we get asked, what do you wanna be when you grow up... uhh how bout happy. If we could just take our time to figure these things out. Maybe, just maybe, we’d be able to sit with those questions, and not feel like our life is slipping by, because sometimes we just don’t know. So I’m here to tell you that it’s ok if you don’t know. It’s ok if you’re still not sure. It’s ok if you aren’t married. It’s ok if you don’t have kids yet. Life is not a race. Figuring it out is what molds us. The clarity will come. Just promise me, you’ll slow down to give you’re heart and soul a chance to speak before letting the world dictate who they want you to be, before you have a chance to decide. Your life. Your rules 💋

Confession: I don’t like drinking tea. I don’t drink tea made from tea leaves anyway but even herbal tea just isn’t my thing. It tastes like weeds to me. I do like a simple infusion with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices, and sometimes a bit of fresh ginger if I have it, but anything with dried leaves? Not so much. This trip, though, I’ve discovered red berry tea/infusion made with dried berries and I love it. In fact, I love it so much I searched shop after shop looking for a jar to bring home and finally found some! Despite not caring for most tea, I love the lunches I’ve had this trip where I’ve ordered afternoon tea. It’s so charming and such a nice pick-me-up in the middle of the day. Somehow a pot of tea is the perfect accompaniment for the scones and little sandwiches. How do you feel about tea? My friend @kara.aina.art
and I have concluded that in general some people like tea (her) and other people prefer something with a little more body like hot chocolate (me). Are you in one of these camps or somewhere else entirely?

CURRENT MOOD ✨ All my worries, anxieties and problems are washing over me. Nothing can disrupt my peace. I have a path though it’s dark to me now, I trust that one day it will come to light. I will float where my soul takes me because I know that it won’t steer me wrong. It feels like flying and it’s exhilarating and free. ⠀
Wishing you peace and calm this Friday 🌊 ⠀

See you all tomorrow ❤️❤️❤️
Dinner prep became art yesterday and I experienced something I won’t ever forget.
I had my eyes fixed straight ahead, as I drove home from bible study last night, down a main but unlit two-lane road. Charlie taught me to look for deer, so I am always scanning for them or other wildlife when I drive at night. The coast was clear as far as my lights could shine through the darkness. Up ahead in the pitch black, for a split second I thought I saw or imagined a red small blip. I thought little of it, but instinctively slowed down. Only to realize seconds later, that if I had not slowed, I would have ran over a woman crossing the road at 55mph.
I was shocked. There is no way I would have avoided it on my
own. The Lord illuminated something off in the complete dark, because that is who my God is. His light can penetrate the darkest, lonely places, and will save all who take heed of it.
“Going back to a simpler life based on living sufficiently rather than excess is not a step backwards. Rather, returning to a simpler way allows us to regain our dignity, puts us in touch with the land, and makes us value human contact again” – Yvon Chouinard #consciousliving #simplify
I am currently reading Yvon Chouinard’s book, Let My People Go Surfing. What an awesome read!! Everyone should read this book, especially if you own a business. Yvon Chouinard inspires us to continue to live responsibly and to never sacrifice the quality of our products nor our commitment to the environment to save a buck. That’s a promise!

Because as a 5 year old, is there really any more appropriate way to swing?
It's finally Friday, we'll cheers to that!
The best way to prioritize is to know your priorities. Let that sink in for a second because it sounds super obvious, but it’s the one mindset shift that will help you to let go of the guilt of saying “no” to things that aren’t in support of what you want.⠀
I recommend honing in on just three at any given moment, allowing you to simplify instead of spreading yourself too thin.⠀
Right now, for me that looks like: HOME. BUSINESS. RELATIONSHIP.⠀
That means that I’m coasting in another area like FITNESS which has been a priority in the past. Now let me be clear, that doesn’t mean I’m completely letting my health go in the process, but it does mean that I’m not training for a marathon right now or learning a new form of strength training. Plus, if it comes down to being home to let the tile guy in instead of going out for a run, I don’t feel bad about it because I know that’s more of a priority right now.⠀
What are your top three priorities right now? I’d love to hear!⠀
Daddy’s been gone for less than 24 hrs and so far we have been to urgent care, had McDonald’s for dinner and no power for 2 hrs and counting.......🤨 hey universe, wanna throw me a bone here? Oh, and my phone has about 5% battery left 🤯 ... #soloparentingisnojoke
22.09.18 • Out and about getting some vitamin D! Sitting in the museum feeding the little one while James and Bowie explore and feeling like I’m going to burst with love for my little family and the people surrounding us! This past week has opened my eyes to the true kindness that is out there as we have been blessed by so many beautiful people, and mostly people we have never met. I truly am in awe and will forever be grateful. So thank you thank you thank you to each and everyone of you ✨

In case you've missed the #WellnessWednesday
series, it's an official thing! I sent an email out to the Collective last night with alllll the details from the last two weeks of questions with even more detail than I can get into on Stories. Over the next few days, I'll share a quick recap so you can learn more, too, because #knowledgeispower
Q: What remedies work for acne scars? ⠀⠀
Tamanu oil is renowned for healing acne scars and is used in traditional cultures from the South Pacific to Madagascar to Vietnam. It is a rich greenish brown oil with a nutty scent. Not everyone loves the smell but it's so wonderful for healing the skin that it's worth it. I include this oil in my spot treatment for all those healing properties, combined with black cumin oil, yarrow, lavender, and thyme for soothing the skin and speeding up healing time.⠀⠀
Calendula is another favorite herb that can be infused in oil and used on the skin. It's anti-inflammatory and helps promote collagen production, which can give your acne scars a smoother look over time. Find calendula infused oil in a few Lagom products, including Sun Seeker and Truth Seeker Balms as well as Flower Bud Facial Oil.⠀⠀
I've also heard promising reports on microneedling for acne scars. This is something you can have done by an esthetician -- or you can get a microneedling device for your at-home use. I don't have experience with it nor have I worked with clients who have, so I can't recommend it on that front but it might be worth a try.⠀⠀
Have you successfully healed your acne scars? What worked for you? Leave a comment below.⠀⠀
