Today is #nationaldayofthehorse
I'd like to take a minute or two and give much respect to, to the equines who've made a difference in my world.
Slide 1: King. One of my Dad's clients had horses, so I got a pony ride as a favor. My parents hated horses, so they were hoping it wouldn't stick. Oops.
Slide 2: Magnum. My first horse. Probably not the wisest choice to buy a horse in college, but I was absolutely obsessed.
Slide 3: Braggley. My main man. When you say "I'll never buy another horse," then buy a four year old racehorse out of someone's backyard for $10.
Slide 4: Quentin. Not my horse, but he taught me a ton. I showed him at an AQHA show just to prove I could, and it was awesome. May he rest in peace.
Slide 5: Jacob. Possibly the world's biggest pain in the ass, but the most honest jumper, my galloping through the mud buddy, and the most cantankerous eventing TWH.
Slide 6: Ante. Also not my horse, but another huge influence. You don't expect upper level Swedish warmbloods to drop into your barn, but there he was. May he also rest in peace.
Slide 7:. Hobbes. The new guy. If he keeps this up, I might have to go up in the levels to keep up with him!
