Who said boys can’t play with dolls!! Boys turn into great men and excellent fathers when they start young!! Plus Faviana loves having her friend over to play with dolls, kitchen and cooking and ice cream stand! Love watching them!! #toddler #play #pretend #love #imagination #teachthemyoung
Proud is an understatement, this girl has broken out of her comfort zone and has taken a passion in martial arts. She had her first tournament today and won 2 of her 3 fights. 🥋 🏆
For our 4th year in a row, we are raising money for our favorite charity @cookies4kids.
We’re all so busy, but that doesn’t mean we can’t find a little time to give back. There is nothing better than raising money for a good cause with my children and teaching them the importance of giving back. If you can’t stop by our bake sale, you can still make a donation~link in bio!

HAPPY SATURDAY + HAPPY NATIONAL HUNTING AND FISHING DAY!! 🦃🦌🏹🎣 #nationalhuntingandfishingday
is observed each year on the fourth Saturday in September. 🍂 This day was created as a day to enjoy the sport of hunting and fishing, and it is meant to recognize that most hunters and fisherman are responsible and enthusiastic naturalists.
HOW TO OBSERVE
Take the day to go out hunting or fishing. Pass the tradition on (while teaching the importance of conservation + safety) to the youth or introduce it to someone new!
National Hunting and Fishing Day dates back to the 1960s. In 1972, by Senate Joint Resolution 117, Congress requested the President to declare the fourth Saturday of September 1972 as National Hunting and Fishing Day. On May 2 of the same year, President Richard Nixon signed proclamation 4128 designating the Fourth Saturday in September National Hunting and Fishing Day.

What is the difference between “confidence” and “pride” anyway??
It occurred to me today while I was running (that’s where my best thinking happens 😊🏃🏻♀️) that there is an important difference between these two things.
Pride is confidence that is rooted in one’s own ability entirely dependent upon his or her own efforts, with no reliance upon any outside influence.
Confidence in your calling, is rooted in your ability based on Christ’s strength. Knowing where you lack He will provide.
Often times as homeschool moms don’t act confidently in our calling. We don’t. Instead we walk fearfully, full of worry that we are ruining our children and doing it wrong. We then label this as “humility”.
That is not humility. That is fear which is the opposite of faith which is often a result of focusing on the wrong thing. We sometimes focus too much on the “how” and not the “why” of homeschooling (I’ve so been there 🙋♀️)
When we shift our focus on the “why” of homeschooling, we can then lean on Him who will equip us to be confident because duh he made the world... he can certainly help you get your act together... (if God can help me, He can help anyone).
One last thing if you are fearful in this homeschooling journey, this is tell-tale sign of pride. Fear comes from leaving on our own abilities to homeschool the kids. Have you ever said the words “I’m not smart enough, patient enough, organized enough to homeschool”... 🍂
IT’S NOT DEPENDENT ON YOUR ABILITIES!! God called you in all of your imperfections to confidently pour into those children and trust that He will provide you with everything you need and more to do it.
So walk with CONFIDENCE in your calling #homeschoolmom

"Teach them young." "Let them 'help' even when it takes three times as long." "Don't do everything yourself because if you do, they will fail in adulthood." "Parents these days are raising entitled kids." 😑😟😣
Of course there is truth to these statements. But guess what? Most of us parents already know that, and we don't need any more guilt thrown at us. I just read an article that was full of mom shame about how you're destroying your children and setting them up to fail adulthood if they don't have a million chores to do and you don't take every. single. opportunity to show them how to do all the things. 💜
Sometimes, my daughter does a ton of housework, helps with things, and learns how to do things because I'm actively teaching her... and sometimes she doesn't. Sometimes I rush through the housework so we can play together, or do it while she's off with her friends. Sometimes I just want to freaking make dinner without having to teach anyone. Sometimes I hear entitled words come from her mouth and just don't have the energy to worry about it. Sometimes (all the time) I'm not a perfect parent. And most of the time, I'm worrying about whether I'm failing as a mom. So please, stop judging us. Remember we are all human, and nobody WANTS to mess up their kids. We are all trying to do our best. 💜
And you know what? We are all good enough. .

💕 You will never change your life unless you change something you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine 💕
I love the routine of my Saturday mornings. It sets up the rest of my day to be super productive and gives me the energy I need to get through all the things! 👍
I start by drinking my superfood milkshake aka mom fuel while Sydney eats her breakfast and then I have my energy drink aka mommy juice which makes me come to life! 🌷
After that, Sydney and I head down to the basement for a 30 minute workout. Last weekend after not eating the best for a few weeks and not exercising in the morning I felt SO dang tired (yes I even napped 😴) but fast forward to this weekend after getting my nutrition back in check and workout in first thing and it’s like night and day, what a huge difference!!! 🌗
What is your Saturday morning routine?

A customer and friend, Darrin, and his 12 year old son hit the ground blind today. This was his son’s first bow hunt and he got a shot out at a doe. She turned last minute and it was a miss but he was in there making it happen! We are so happy to be able to provide an atmosphere where youth can learn to hunt and take these shots! Way to go buddy, you’ll get that harvest! #toddscreekoutfitters #missouriwhitetail #teachthemyoung #archeryseason @darrin.barnard
Saturday morning PiYo turned into a family affair and I wouldn’t have it any other way! 😍
Precious Young Scholars believes that it is during the formative years, before the age of 6, that children learn core skills not only needed to prepare students for school, but for life beyond the classroom. We carefully observe the individual growth of each child recognizing their own unique development during these early years. With a wide variety of age appropriate materials and experiences, we help to further stimulate the social/emotional, physical, cognitive and creative growth of our your scholars. Our programs goal is to provide a fun, caring, safe environment that will foster and embed in our scholars a love for learning.
