"I'll Take A Knee For The Man Slain In Memphis Tennessee, I'll Take A Knee For My Sister Who Wouldn't Give Up Her Seat......I'll Take A Knee For My Brothers Blood Shed On The Streets, I'll Take A Knee For The Man Who Died On Calvary".......Words And Music Grady L. Harris #takeaknee . G.
The *White Man’s* Burden - the old concept that since the white man was so exceptional and civilized it had to “help” the “uncivilized” - Really turned out to be exactly the opposite The *White Man* Burden. Now before y’all start thinking I am speaking about race, understand I am NOT. “Whiteness” is a socio economic concept used to justify theft, rape, murder, and of course racism. What we all are against is this concept of “whiteness” NOT white people. That concept was used to justify all the bs that has led to the majority of our problems today. Whiteness was used to separate us and to keep us angry, broke, and distracted. That whiteness has turned out to be our burden to bear as we all play a role in keeping this corrupt system built on that whiteness, going. This is what movements like BLM, Take A Knee, Blue Libes Murder, and No ban On Stolen Land among others, are about. Please understand this and help others understand that. Big money needs us to stay confused and angry and fragmented. Let’s understand what ppl fight for and what we are doing to get in their way so that we can get the fuck out the way. That is the least we can all do. #colonialism#imperialism#capitalism#bluelivesmurder#notmypresident#unity#poc#staywoke#hermanxs#lgbtq#intersectionality#blm#nodapl#takeaknee#brownprideforblm#nobanonstolenland # //////@Regrann from @undocumedia - #colonialism
Thank you Seattle!
Tonight’s show was righteous. Our pre-show sports escapades were lack luster at best, but we had a tremendous time in your lovely city.
The #MourningInAmerika tour rages on. Portland see y’all tomorrow!
Lord, a couple weeks ago Nike made headlines by making @kaepernick7 the face of their new campaign. Brilliant business decision by a very strategic company. Days later stock prices soared to new heights and their advertising and sales went through the roof. As much as I support this move, I can’t forget that this was a business decision. Not a political one. Nike realizes most of their clients are minorities in urban environments and they knew this campaign would work. And it did. I’m not hating on them but I pray we see this for what it is. Moral of the story, look to large companies for business advice but not for rapid social change. #prayerpause
