Growing up, they told me that a pot of gold was over the rainbow. Now I know it’s bubble tea, not gold. Just as great, right? 🤔 I tried the rose milk tea with boba, which was good! 🌹☕️My drink had bits of rose petals, which added that extra flavor since the boba was plain. 👌🏻
Give me dumplings any time and I will be happy 😁 I really enjoyed the shrimp and pork dumplings from Dough Zone. 🤤🥟
And so I found my new favorite restaurant... 💆🏻♀️ They’ve been opened for a few months now, but what took us this long to finally try it out is the mixed reviews on yelp. What is wrong with me. 🤦🏻♀️
⭐️Recommendations: MUST ORDER Dong ting fish. (~30mins wait time) The fish was so fresh and sweet. It is topped with spices such as chili and onions giving it a tangy and spicy flavor to this whole fish. There are so many other interesting dishes I noticed on the menu but fighting the temptation to order this again is going to be challenging. 😅
📍Where: Dong Ting Chun
🚘 Parking: Free parking lot
📋 Takes reservation: Yes
💰 Price: $$/$$$$
Sunday’s are reserved for dim sum! This BBQ pork bun had so much filling that the soft bun couldn’t even hold it all in when you lifted the bun up! It was messy but so worth it! Steaming hot and full of flavor, my sister couldn’t resist and almost ate all three of them at one go. Thank god I got a few bites before she devoured them!
Ladies night out💕

HIMALAYAN SHERPA HOUSE @himalayansherpahouse
in the Tangletown neighborhood of Seattle is a cozy, family-owned Nepalese restaurant. They make food very similar to the curries, masalas, and tandoori’s in popular Indian cuisine but is less oily and more subtly spiced. The owner, Ang, is originally from Tibet and continues to go back there at least twice a year to lead treks. Vicki and a friend shared the “House Sampler For Two” which includes a combination of their 5 piece Momo appetizer (Tibetan dumplings), Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer, Vegetable Curry, Dal Soup, Rice, Naan Bread, and Kheer for dessert (Indian Sweet Rice Pudding). Vicki also enjoyed a Mango Lassi. The food was a generous amount for two to share and it was satisfying and delicious. You’ve got to try this restaurant out, especially when you are craving Indian food. It is so perfect right now during the chilly Autumn season. 👍🏼 “Dare yourself to try something new!” #twohungryseattlemamas #supportlocal #supportsmallbusiness #smallbusiness #himalayansherpahouse
This is how I pumpkin patch.
黑糖珍珠奶茶 (Brown sugar pearl milk tea)
Great for milk lover, the boba is pretty good. I’m not a fan of milk tho...
Finally got to try @raiseddoughnuts
!! My favorites were black sesame mochi and this Vietnamese coffee crunch one. Such a cute place to stop in on a beautiful fall morning 😌🍁🍂
Katsu Burger is one of my favorite places to grab a burger from. 🍔I’m so excited to give you guys a sneak peak at what @katsuburger
in Ballard has to offer, starting November 2nd! 🎉This is their fresh salmon and tuna with the special oil. 🍣Trust me, it tastes as good as it looks 😋 special shout out to @katsuburger
for inviting us to attend their new menu tasting ✨ stay tuned for other new additions to Katsu Burger 😍
I like big toast and I can not lie.
for this beautiful picture of our Tots and Shots appetizer. The epitome Seattle cuisine.
The Portobello Wellington from @cafefloraveg
is my favorite thing on their menu. Every time I take I bite I can’t believe there was ever a time when I hated mushrooms.
Mushroom, leeks, and a pecan pate cooked in the flakiest puff pastry with Madeira wine sauce, herbed mashed potatoes and roasted chayote squash.
No filter on this chocolate rye beauty 😍
All about these spicyyy dan dan noodles🔥 hands down my favorite spot for Szechuan dishes 🙌🏻
Sometimes you have extra dough and marshmallows that serendipitously turn into a matcha milk tea cookie! 🍵🍪
Wanna know my favorite dessert at @bambu_seattle
? It’s the original yogurt! This is Vietnamese yogurt (which is different from your typical yogurt) with mango, kiwi, and strawberry 🍓 🍋🥝
Not Your Ma-Po’s Tofu 🌶🥡love the addition of pork belly and the huge chunks of tofu 😋
This warm sunny weather calls for an ice cream donut sandwich topped with cereal 😋🍦🍩
Szechuan First. Another go-to place for comfort food! The cumin lamb has a really strong aroma but is so tasty and addicting! 🤤 I haven’t ordered a dish from this place that I didn’t like 👌
I want to do a diet like that guy from Super Size Me but instead of all McDonald's I'll be eating all tacos. Starting with these s'mores tacos.
Happy National Pasta Day!!! So... we know ramen noodles is not quite pasta but it’s like its “cousin”, right?!?! ☺️ Vicki and her family dined at KIZUKI RAMEN @kizukiramen
in the Northgate area of Seattle this past Saturday. Kizuki is our favorite Japanese ramen chain in Seattle. They have several locations around town, but we tend to frequent the Northgate location the most. We’re really liking their new Kale Noodle option which you add $1.50 extra for. It tastes as good, if not better, than the regular kind of ramen noodle. It’s gluten-free, cooked perfectly al dente, and probably healthier also. Vicki ordered her favorite Yuzu Shio Ramen with Kale Noodles and added an egg. Her hubby ordered the Garlic Tonkatsu Shoyu Ramen also with Kale Noodles and added an egg. Their kids shared a regular Shoyu Ramen with an egg and (not pictured) an order of Kaarage Chicken and Gyoza with a side of rice. We also want to mention, from a previous visit a few months ago, the Kaarage Chicken Salad Bowl (2nd picture) I had which we highly recommend if you don’t feel like eating ramen. You can order it with or without rice. One last note about their Ramen, we like that you can order a Low-Sodium option. Vicki usually does but forgot to request it this last time. She still enjoyed her meal but prefers low-sodium. This place can get packed, especially on weekends, so be prepared for that. Otherwise, there’s plenty of tables in the dining area and seats at the bar. Service has typically been friendly and efficient. They always shout a welcoming greeting in Japanese as you enter and leave. Go green and try the Kale Noodles and get your noodle on over here. 👍🏼 #twohungryseattlemamas #kizukiramenandizakaya #nationalpastaday
🤔 What’s your favorite noodle or pasta place? For pasta, we absolutely adore our local favorite IL CORVO @ilcorvopasta
and for a chain restaurant, we often crave THE OLD SPAGHETTI FACTORY’S yummy Mizithra Pasta dish. We are going to dine at and write about these places and more soon. We hope you’ve been enjoying our posts. Please follow us or continue to follow us and stay tuned. Thank you!✌🏼😃
Love these quince almond croissants! They're just so dang cute 👾 I'll have them @edmondslocalvore

We can’t wait to be slinging Birthday Cake Cookies in the trailer come October 27th!! 😍🍪🎂🎂🎂
Churro sandwich with Cinnabon frosting. I like everything about this.
Palmi Korean BBQ. Enjoyed this kbbq spot at U district! It’s a bit pricier than the other kbbq spots I’ve been to, but you can definitely tell the difference in meat quality 👌 I also loved the cheese corn ❤️
These 🐠🌮 are definitely worth the trip out to Burien!!
Testing out a new matcha for our matcha marshmallows!
Exercise? No, no, no, I said extra fries 🍟 here’s the monster burger 🍔 with a side of garlic fries and their special fry sauce 😋 the fries were definitely overpowering with the garlic which I love 😍
When the weather’s nice. All I want is icecream.
Correction: When it rains, shines, hails, or snowing I still want icecream no matter how cold it is outside. 😂
Super stoked on my next event @edmondslocalvore
this Saturday! @walnutstreetcoffee

We went to LITTLE BIG BURGER’S @littlebigburgerseattle
Grand Opening for lunch today where they are giving away free burgers all day until they run out. This new store in the Smith & Burns building in the Wallingford neighborhood is their first store in Washington State. They are a Portland, Oregon chain that started in 2010 and they also have stores in California, Texas, and North Carolina. For our free burgers, we ordered a Cheeseburger with Cheddar Cheese and a Cheeseburger with Bleu Cheese Crumbles and Bacon (add 75 cents). These burgers are smaller than your usual burgers, hence the name “little big”, but it is big in flavor and was so juicy and quite delicious. What sent us over the top were their amazing Truffle Fries! Their menu is small and simple which takes the stress out of trying to decide what to get. We wish they offered Milkshakes, but they do make a really good Root Beer Float. There’s indoor and outdoor seating available and, as soon as they get their liquor license, they will also have beer on the menu. Come on down, get a free burger, and give them a warm Seattle welcome!!! 👍🏼 “Dare yourself to try something new!” #twohungryseattlemamas #littlebigburgerseattle #wallingfordseattle @smithandburns #smithandburns #grandopening
It’s coffee Monday ☕️ and buy one get one free sea salt coffee is back at @85cbakerycafe
on Mondays ✨🎉 this was much needed since I had four hours of sleep last night 😵🧟♀️the deal is only on the medium sea salt coffee (iced or hot) but I like to add caramel for 50 cents extra 👌🏻
Happy Monday everyone! Sugared cruffins on their way to @cafebambino_seattle
So simple, so good; sometimes less is more.
Pestle Rock. If you’re looking for northern thai cuisine, make sure to visit Pestle Rock in Ballard. I love how they don’t skimp on the spices. The noodle dish with pork belly is definitely one of my favorites from this place 👌
Happy National Dessert Day! It’s been awhile since we indulged in this sweet, icy, fruity, and decadent Taiwanese dessert from CAFÉ O’DESSERT on The Ave (aka The University District) of Seattle. They just closed up shop about 10 minutes ago so all we can do right now is stare at this old photo that we took the last time we ate there a few months ago and simply dream of this heavenly dessert until another day, lol. 🤤 It is made of Mango and Coconut Shaved Ice topped with fresh mango, strawberry, and mochi. It has all the components that we love in this type of dessert. It is especially good in the Summer when mangoes and strawberries are at their ripest. But we will eat it any time of year. Nom nom nom!!! 😋❤️🍧 “Dare yourself to try something new!” #twohungryseattlemamas #supportlocal #supportsmallbusiness #smallbusiness #cafeodessert #universitydistrictseattle #theaveseattle #nationaldessertday
Thank you to all the late comers who came to the foodie meetup hosted by @eatwithjlau
! It means more food for us to try, specifically sweet foods! @shelbyfoodadventure
ordered the Hong Kong style charcoal waffle with coconut pandan ice cream and syrup, pineapple mango compote and shaved almonds. It was honestly one of the best dishes of the day and so glad she shared! .
Can’t go wrong with classic brioche French toast with vanilla bean cream, shaved almonds and caramelized bananas ordered by @emeraldcityeater
He’s so right that French roasts are one of the best breakfast food items! .
Lastly I want to give a big shout out to @mousseboutique
for delivering a delicious cake! Sweet yet sour, a heavenly and complex taste to my palate!
Cheers to the weekend! One of my (Vicki’s) favorite restaurants in Fremont is CAFÉ TURKO @cafeturko
. A small part of it is nostalgia because my husband and I bought our first real rug together at this place about 5 years into our marriage in 2005 when they were simply a rug import shop. When the recession hit, they methodically decided to phase out the rug shop to survive and Genscher, the friendly owner, and his wife Sureyya, who is a talented cook and cooking instructor at PCC market, started to slowly transition into selling some Turkish food and drink items in a corner of their shop. Its popularity started to grow and morph into the more refined and full-service restaurant you see today. It’s fun to visit with Genscher who is very personable and still remembers the rug we purchased from them all those years ago and reminds us how to best take care of it. But the main reason I like this restaurant is because of the delicious food and ambiance. For last night’s dinner, we ordered a refreshing Iced Sage Herbal Tea and Lemonade. I highly recommend their Pide’s which is a Turkish flatbread with various fillings and is similar to pizza. My favorite is a simple Pide with Olives, Tomatoes, and Feta Cheese. For our main course, we shared their Eggplant Moussaka with Feta and a Lamb Kebab dish. Their Walnut-Pistachio Baklava was the perfect ending to our meal. Our service was on point last night. Sometimes it can be slow and on one rare occasion, during the busy Fremont Solstice Parade, they were slammed and the service and quality of the food was horrendous. But, despite those couple of off days, I’ve found that the food and service here is typically above average and worth trying and coming back to. Hopefully, you will have a wonderful dining experience as we did last night. 👍🏼 “Dare yourself to try something new!” #twohungryseattlemamas #supportlocal #supportsmallbusiness #smallbusiness #cafeturkoinfremont

Spent the day out and about enjoying the sunshine ☀️ today & indulged in one of @mollymoonicecream
’s newest flavors: Y E T I 🍦 - sweet cream, @theochocolate
chunks, granola, vanilla bean, granola, & caramel 🍫😳🤤. Best flavor to date next to the earl grey & melted chocolate 👏🏻.
I love when ice creams *aren’t* super sweet 🙌🏻. Seattle locals, have y’all tried this flavor yet? What’s your fave ice cream joint? LMK in comments below 👇🏻.
Have a great evening, y’all! #diningwithdiana
