Hardcover, paperback, or ebook? 📙
I love reading physical books, but I very rarely can anymore. I’ve tried but if I leave the book around anywhere where it’s easy for me to get, my kids just nibble, flip, use it like a tunnel for their cars, etc etc. The only safe time is nap and bedtime but that is my writing time so 🙅♀️🙅♀️🙅♀️ I protect that with my life! Most of my reading gets done while we’re doing other things throughout the day. So it’s ebooks for me. For now. 📙
However, isn’t this naked hardcover of The Rest of Us Just Live Here gorgeous? I love when books have fore-edge painting. I tried and tried to do one of those open book fan things you see sometimes on here with this book, but umm yeah, fail. Maybe I’ll put my sorry attempt in my story. I realized that either I need to get the lens on my real camera working or just cheat 😝 📙
I haven’t read this yet, but I heard about it in one of the pride month challenges, and since I love Patrick Ness, I had to check it out. The premise is essentially: what goes on with all the non-superhero kids in a superhero-focused world? Not the sidekicks, just your average kid. Funny premise, no? 😆 This one is actually a library book! I love my library because they’re pretty sneaky with their stickers — making the books perfect for Booksta. Attention all other libraries: do the thing!! 📙
Day 27 Challenges:
: Naked Hardcover
: Book with LGBTQ+ Parents: Okay kinda cheating because it’s not the book centered here (I already recently featured it 🤗), but the MC in Lola and the Boy Next Door which is peeking out in the corner of this has two dads.
: LGBT+ Character: From What I’ve heard this book has many queer characters!
: Superheroes — This book follows all of us non-superpowered types that just have to keep out of the way while others save the world.
: Haven’t Read.
: Naked Book .
