There’s so much out there on what to do when it comes to fitness after having a baby. It can get confusing, overwhelming and discouraging all at the same time. I try and keep it simple for myself and thought I’d share what guidelines I typically follow:
1. Listen to your body. It is your temple.
2. Move every day. Do a workout, go for a run or take a walk with the fam. Don’t complicate things. Do what you enjoy when it comes to being active. If you love it, chances are you’ll keep doing it.
3. Eat what makes you thrive. Don’t get caught up on all the eating trends - keto, vegan, paleo, whatever ... just eat real food.
4. Don’t compare. Every mother’s journey is different. Focus on your own progress.
5. Be kind to yourself. Negative self talk is a slippery slope. Don’t go there. Practice self love daily.
