I finished my 6-week workout program today and even though I lost weight and inches, I want to talk about how much my mindset changed.
When I started I did 3 push-ups on my knees. Today I did 32 on my toes. Swipe left to see me fight hard for those 32 push-ups.
I conquered my mind of “I can’t” and “It is too hard” to kept practicing. Every day I did more and I am so freakin proud of it.

I’m six weeks deep into travels now and have only got 2 weeks to go 😞 but I’ve still got Prague, Vienna and Budapest to go and I’m looking forward to it!
As a bit of self care, I’m forgoing the hostel in Prague and instead booked an Airbnb apartment. Thing is, sometimes you just need to treat yourself, especially when you are really craving it!
Recovery is not just about food. We hear that everyday right? It’s mental, not just weight related. Well I find that a lot of aspects of our lives get restricted, not just food intake. Financial restriction, sleep restriction, social restriction etc. A big one is SELF CARE restriction... we just push and push and push and refuse to let ourselves have a break? Well me booking the Airbnb is my form of a break and although there was some resistance from the restrictive side of my brain, i oposite actioned and booked it anyway!
Do things that are for you and interestingly you find that you rely less on restrictive behaviour patterns as a way of coping xxx
My eyes are so much bigger than my stomach (thank goodness!) I only ate half my sweet potato but a lovely and easy Saturday night dinner: grilled salmon steak with lemon, oven roasted veg (peppers, onion, garlic) and a baked sweet potato on some raw spinach leaves. This is a really cheap and simple meal to make, is packed full with vitamins and minerals and very filling, brilliant!

This is the same shirt but look how baggy it is in the second picture! My body is changing and I’m so thankful for the hard work I’m doing. 💪🏼 Other people may be ashamed to be 360 lbs but I’m proud because I FOUGHT to get here!

It’s crazy to me that today was the last day of classes for this term 😆 It surprisingly flew by! Last winter I was not in a good place at all, but I’m happy to say that this year was WAY different ☺️ I hope your winter has been going well too!! SWEET POTATO OVERNIGHT OATS (1/3 cup oats + 1/4 large sweet potato mashed + 1/2 tbsp chia seeds + 1/2-2/3 cup water)

Dinner last night before going out out was a kidney bean chilli 🌶 Ended up going wayyy too hard last night, threw up multiple times and remember v little 🙃 Spent all day today trying not to be sick again and didn’t make it out of bed until 12:30 😩 managed to finish my lab report and go to music rehearsals, and then walked in and back from town after a food shop this evening! Still feel so rough, so going to take it easy, make some notes from a past lecture, do some yoga and then sleep 💤
Saturday morning run complete! We used to run this same 2.3 mile loop 3 times a week. It’s definitely been A MINUTE since I’ve run it, and my mile time was quite higher, unfortunately.
, all ambitious on a Sat morning, woke me up and said, “Want to go for a run?”
“No.” as I proceeded to toss violently over in bed, while covering my head with the covers.
... feeling his gaze, I peered my eyes over my bedding cocoon, “You want me to go with you?”
“Yes.” he says, with his handsome, precious smile.
“Fine. Only because you’re so freaking cute.”
It actually felt really good! And hopefully it sets me up for 19.1. I kept running and thinking, “If I can run at a good pace without stopping for 21 min, maybe I can survive the 15min of 19.1.”
We will see!!

So I have to say, one of the scariest things I ever did was leave my ‘career’ I had established with Macy’s. I felt so much fear, so much uncertainty, and so much doubt over what would become of me. I sacrificed respect I had established over a period over almost 10 years, a generous salary, benefits, and amazing friendships I had gained. However, as amazing how those things may sound on paper, I was working relentlessly, I was stressed out, I was working a crazy schedule, and what I was working for was something I wasn’t any longer PASSIONATE about. I couldn’t bear to stand around with a group of corporate executives debating for 10 minutes over if the handbag table that we just spent 2 hours setting should be moved 2 feet to the left HAHA. Now I mean that with no offense and have much love and mad respect for my old retail fam, BUT it was just something that was no longer for me. My beliefs changed, and taking the step to leave was hard, but I also found courage within me to start being my true, authentic self. .
So the last year or so after leaving, I was scared of what was next for me. I took a basic sales job while I figured it out. FINALLY, I am finding my home again. I found a new full time job with a set schedule which allows me to focus on things I AM passionate about. I’m allowed to shift my focus on helping other people in both of my jobs. And also, both jobs have proven to be quite rewarding. There is RECOGNITION for hard work, there is SUPPORT from peers, managers, and coaches. You are provided with the right TOOLS to succeed. .
My whole point is that don’t underestimate what you can do. And change is hard. Also, it takes a lot of TIME and EFFORT to build a career. Success won’t be handed to you overnight and you won’t be making 6 figures over night. But you have to start somewhere and it’s never too late!
Hello❤️ this was a piece of pizza🍕that i ate during Christmas-break😋 i was really really ill than😔 but it was with my brother and he can let me do things that i not even think possible is when I am alone (or with someone else than him)❤️✨ He’s my little ( okay, okay big haha😂) god😍 today I went out for lunch with my family and we get our food at three o’clock😱😱 I don’t know, it was just really hard because it was sooo late for me😖 i had fries and ketchup🍟🥫 with beef stew 🥘 and a little salad with honey-mustard dressing🍯🥗 and i almostly finished it😌 (the only thing that I’m kinda proud of😕)but because i had no idee wat i was going to eat and where and all that shit✨ i absolutely didn’t eat enough today😭 I had a little breakfast (just a little bowl with lots if raspberry’s🍓, a bit of muesli🥣 and some yoghurt🥛) because of lunch (now, i hate myself for that😖😖) and that was everything...... i want to eat at least something when I come home because I’M ACTUALLY SOOO STARVING!!!😔 but i don’t know or i can do that because it’s already soo late than❤️ I’m now in the car🚘 please, send help🙏🙏❤️❤️ everyone ate a piece of pie after the lunch but i just coudn’t😭 and that heards me actually a lot because I was just thinking that it was getting better with me😑 tomorrow I’m just at home so it is problably better than🤞❤️ but all this made me really sad and down🥺 I’m sorry for this kinda negative update✨but i want to be honest and yeah, this is just part of recovery❤️💪 sooo if there’s one day that everything goes wrong, don’t pannic!!! It’s part of recovery✨❤️ one day is not the biggest problem✨ but it gonna be a big problem if you listen to that illness and going to restrict!!✨💪 so please, keep fighting❤️✨ it is sooo worth it🙏you are all sooo lovely people❤️✨ (I’m also really really really really really really scared for my appointment with my therapist monday, they gonna weigh me!!!😖❤️ but ok, that’s okay✨ I’m sooo happy if that’s passed😕)
