Pain in your back when you do supine/face up moves (like the hold in the top photo), when running inclines, or plank variations? It's likely not the move, but your way of moving - you're on tilt! 🤬 Notice the difference in the two bottom photos. One shows a green band angled forward in anterior tilt caused by things like sitting too long or poorly, tight hip flexors, weak glutes... and the other shows a more vertical green band or neutral (good word here!) pelvis. 🧘🏾‍♂️ There are things you can do to fix your tilt, like stretching what's tight and strengthening what's weak. However, this post is more about being mindful about what, why, and how you're moving/holding. Train your brain to be aware! So for the love, stop putting your hands under your butt to do the work for you in supine moves. And don't rush to complete reps because that's what the workout calls for, but because you're optimized and ready to do so.
