Navasana: "Boat Pose"
Core, core, balance, core, balance.. and did I say core? My kind of posture 😍
Navasana is a full core engagement. We're pulling our body in all different directions, creating stabilization through our center: our core.
➡️ It is important not to hunch over in this pose. We want to keep our sternum up, shoulders back, and the back neutral; that includes the cervical spine. Not doing so releases core engagement and causes stress in the spine.
👍What are the benefits of a strong core? Better posture, better physical performance in.. everything, less back pain, lighter asanas, etc, etc, happier life! If you're not feeling your abs burning after a few breaths, you're likely not engaging properly. Happy core day everyone! • .
