I didnt get to finish my Movie Recommendation Tuesday today, so im posting this instead and i will be doing that tomorrow.
The Package is a #2018 #netflixoriginal
comedy about a group of teenagers go on a camping trip on spring break, on the first night there they get extremely intoxicated and an unfortunate accident sets off a race against time to save their friend's most prized possession.... its a dick, he cuts his dick off, fuckin spoiler alert.
So i didnt expect much from this movie, and guess what? I didnt get much from it. But in all honesty it was surprisingly watchable, i am a big comedy fan, especially of the Late Night R Rated variety, so that could have factored in a small amount.
The writing is everything you would expect it to be, its raunchy, crude, silly and way over the top but its a movie about a severed dick so what did you think it would be. Surprisingly the story has a road trip vibe that keeps you invested enough to keep watching, but it does get quite repetitive. The Jokes are 50/50 which isn't bad, when they hit, they hit hard and when they miss, they miss hard.
The directing is not good, but its not the worst ever, i mean i can live with it based on the fact that this movie doesn't require great directing.
The actors are all ok i would say i liked Geraldine Viswanathan and Sadie Calvano the most and liked Daniel Doheny the least. The rest of the cast has Luke Spencer Roberts, Eduardo Franco, Sugar Lyn Beard, Blake Anderson, Mary Holland and Gary Jones.
In the end this is a super wacky, super raunchy comedy that is sure to offend more than a few people. It has a few good laughs and is worth a watch if you like stuff of this nature, its on #netflix
so you wont really lose anything except some time.
