You looked through the peephole, letting out a sigh of relief when you see Sebastian on the other side. You undid the lock, opening your apartment door. Sebastian smiled sadly at you, coming inside without you having to say a word. “So you’re scared, huh? What movie did you watch?” He asked. All he knew was that you were scared and needed someone to keep you company, so he assumed it was because of some horror movie you tricked yourself into watching. He was completely correct.
“Rings.” You mumbled embarrassingly. Sebastian let out a laugh, before realising you were serious. His eyes widened.
“You, the girl who hates horror movies, watched one of the most scariest movies to date?” He chuckled.
“I know,” you sighed, throwing your head back like a small child, “and now I really regret it. Can you please just come to bed with me and make sure I don’t get killed by some freaky little girl.” Sebastian let out another muffled laugh, eventually agreeing.
You were already in your pyjamas, so Sebastian just had to slip off his shirt before climbing into bed next to you. The two of you stuck to your sides of the bed as usual, you rolling over so your back faced him. He looked over at you, and pursed his lips. He knew you were scared, should he wrap an arm around you? You are the best of friends, what was the worst thing that could have happened?
He rolled onto his side so he could face you, and put an arm around you to pull you into his body. You tensed at first, before becoming comfortable in his hold. You smiled to yourself, and Sebastian did too. •••
When you woke up the next morning, you had a moment of pure anxiety. You felt a heavy arm across your body, pinning you down to the sheets. It took a few stressful seconds to realise that the arm in fact belonged to your best friend. You lifted it off of you, and he stirred before waking.
“You ok?” He slurred, rubbing his eyes. You nodded.
“Yeah, not scared.” Sebastian smiled at you tiredly, “good.”
