A reminder of what LA used to be before the rain.
⁂ Each day make it a priority to do what makes you happy, excited, and fulfilled, because days add up to form the weeks, months, years, and decades of your life. For a great life remember to start small - focus on maximizing the quality of this day, each day.
❅ one of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen. xx ❅
Day 14: Today marks 2 weeks of starting my daily art challenge of self exploration. & I finished a painting today! I started “Laguna Beach Paradise” almost 2 years ago, so you can about imagine my excitement for finishing this particular painting. 🚙🏝
I learned a lot by finishing this painting. I was taught the value of having patience & perseverance in your own art. I also learned the versatility of my style. I can do loose brushstrokes and then I can add detail like a lady boss! 👩🏼🎨
This was the first time I painted a car, (and probably the last.) I was so overwhelmed by the VW bus that I kept putting it off and abandoning my painting which is probably why it took me so dang long to finish. But I didn’t give up. It’s true what they say good things take time. I can’t wait to finish my other started paintings! .
“Laguna Beach Paradise” is ready to have a new forever home. This 16”x20” canvas comes framed and even has some fun metallic accents. ( Message me if you’d like to know more.)
I experienced an unexpected renewal of self this weekend. Along with my soul sisters @blondefrogfur
we burned all the objects, emotions, and pain we needed to let go of from 2018 (and prior) while setting intentions for 2019. It rained overnight seemingly cleansing everything else. Then on Saturday at sunset I was called to the ocean. The reward was fresh salt air and the sound of waves crashing as I ran along the beach. There was a surreal golden hour glow at work. The reflections of the clouds in the glistening sand made the horizon seem endless. I literally laughed out loud at one point because the whole experience made me feel so much joy and love and peace all at once. If it’s an indication of how 2019 will be, I am hopeful of what’s to come.
And on the 8th day, God made dog beaches.
Enjoying the change of scenery🧡same coast, different town 🏠🌴
Clouds. No filter except B&W.
Just... a Big Sur sunset along Route 1, 2018
This amazing couple made my job so easy! The session was filled with constant laughter, goofy poses, and a little bit of twerking 🤪
