Most of the time I’m all good vibes, positive thoughts & peaceful energy. But sometimes, like a few moments today, I totally lose my shit and question every fucking ounce of my existence.... the constant tests, the longing, the games people play, the pressure, my true strength, my mistakes, my heartache, my ability to hold everything together day in, day out..... And I kinda crumble for a second. Maybe a few minutes. I quietly fall apart. And surely that’s okay...right?! I mean I’m only human. Maybe it’s lack of sleep or my overdue assignment or the fact that I’m winging all this on my own.... I’ve come so damn far though. So I force myself to fucking breathe, get my shit together, focus & keep moving forward. Because two steps forward and one step back is better than standing in one spot 🦋💜
Re-evaluating my priorities today 🙌
All too often we get so caught up in the #crazybusy
of life we don't make time for the people and things we love!
I've been participating in the @mumswithhustle
over the past week and it's not only got me thinking about what I'm grateful for but also made me more aware of the need to slow down and actually make the time to enjoy these people and things that I love!
So here's YOUR Thursday night reminder to make the people and things that make YOU happy a priority! ✌️
∆ 10 SIGNS YOU MAY NEED SLOW DOWN ∆
1. Your lower back and hips feel a bit sore.
2. You have trouble falling asleep.💤 3. Distractions (social media, watching TV, eating unhealthy, substances, partying alot, etc) out weigh the self care routine.📺 4. You feel lethargic and need caffeine by 1pm. ☕
5. You are edgy and respond fast, hasty or defensive. 😠
6. You loose track of what you were doing because your thoughts are on the rampage. (Too many thoughts whirling) 🤦♂️ 7. Paranoia 🤜
8. Anxious or worried about the future.🙄 9. You can't remember the last time you touch the Eart 🌍 with your bare feet 👣. 10. You don't remember the last time you thought about breathing. (Consciously looking at your breath)🌬️ If any of these signs are showing up in your life, Don't worry. They are mine too. It's normal. You're not alone.🤗 Take 5-10 mins a day for yourself. Start there. Even if you have to do in the bathroom and lock the door. Do it. (Dedicate time to sit with your own energy.) Be with you and tell yourself(while truly feeling it energetically) how much you honor, adore and appreciate you and your body. Feel your body slow down and your heart rate go slower. Listen to your breathing. Thank this existence.💐
As time goes, notice the extra space you have in your life to enjoy slow times. •••
It's not a race, it's a pace. Enjoy it! 💕
Check out our affirmation of the day that can help you with gaining more introspective time. ↩️ •••

It's driving me crazy that my toddler takess forever to brush her teeth, put on her clothes or even wash by herself. It's taking her forever when I can do all of these things wayyy faster. But then, what would that accomplish? It's going to make her feel worthless, and she might lose her self-confidence and her belief in herself just because I won't let her do it because it's slower. So, note to self: let her do these things on her own. Put on an encouraging smile and celebrate with her small successes. Okay! Challenge accepted. Who's with me? 💜💜💜

Rush hour in the country side
So recently on the way home from local town I decided to take my alternative way home to avoid the heavy traffic through the main town. Having been out of the area for 5 years I was actually gobsmacked when I came to bend in the road. There was traffic at my local cross roads. I am litterly a minute from home and this is what I found.
It just shows so much about population growth and increase in the use of cars today. When I was a young kid, I could safely walk or cycle these roads. My parents wouldn't have to worry about our safety as the cars that drove these road we're neighbour and friends who wouldn't drive @ 80km an hour because they knew these roads and that there were kids about and people driving out of there driveways and when there would be children walking home from school having gotten off the school bus at the end of the road.
Today these road are not safe because you have people driving on them rushing home at 80km a hour because that is the limit. I know these road I've been driving them for years or as a passenger in parents car before then.
I know these road, where they curve and bend, where they flood in heavy rain. I know where they are narrow and where a pothole may form. I know the driveways to houses those old and recent. I know the concealed entrances or that a tractor may be around the bend. I know the spot where car accident occurred the unofficial blackspots.
I especially know that it is not safe to drive at 8O km an hour EVER. These are COUNTRY ROADS not made for the type of driving done on them today.
My father drove out of his driveway like he has done for over 30 years. When suddently a car blew him out of it. My father stopped his car got out and asked driver what his problem was. The driver said you pulled out in front of me. My father said pointing behind them. Can you see round that corner? Driver said no. My father said that he couldn't either and that he should slow down as he might be coming out the next time, or his wife or children or his next door neighbor or the car down the road. I do hope that driver got my father's message. #roadsafety #slowdown
It’s been a big year of learning. Little has gone to plan, and much of world was turned upside down. I’ve felt turned inside out for much of this year, and I’ve had to learn to #goslow
and be so kind to myself. It’s paying off. ❤️ I’ve lived most of my life with #chronicillness
and undiagnosed neuroatypia, which means that I tire easily, quicker than most. For a long time, I decided to reject this. I would push myself to do the things I wanted to do (often believing I needed to do them), and would suffer the inevitable collapse that would follow. I felt like I was failing if I didn’t do all the things, letting myself down and letting others down. ❤️ Not anymore. I know that listening to my body is crucial - the wisdom contained within these cells and beyond is worth my time and attention. ❤️
This year has hurt, stretching me in ways I didn’t know possible. But by choosing to go *through* the fire, by allowing the deep healing of whatever was presented to me, by choosing This Moment to be my teacher and by deciding that Love is my ultimate answer, I’ve discovered a #selfcompassion
I’ve never had before. ❤️
I can sit with myself and just Love. ❤️ Today was slow. Today I was tired. Today I #rested
. As a business owner, when I stop, often so does my business. It can feel like a day off will make everything collapse, because the pressure sits entirely on my shoulders. But I chose #rest
. When my kids lost the plot after school, I sat with them. I didn’t push through the shopping and dinner to-do. I supported them, I loved them, and loved myself.
And I was 💯% ok with this. In fact, I ENJOYED it. ❤️ Every delicious second of it. ❤️
This here is the face of one tired Mama, but a Mama who is finding pleasure and satisfaction in the every day, even the mundane. This is the face of a Mama who is choosing to Love herself despite all the reasons I could find to tell you otherwise. ❤️
This is rest. A hot #blackcoffee
, some #sunshine
and the deep connectedness to mySelf. ❤️

I’m practicing, fostering deeper awareness.
I choose growth and abundance.
In every moment, I choose love and expansion over fear and scarcity.
I’m practicing slowing down. Right down. Breathing deeply. Being present, in my body. Just being, rather than doing. Distracting and numbing.
I feel wide open, expansive, receptive, connected.
Present to the energies... humans, animals, botanical, elemental, totality.
Slowing down, sitting in the sensuality, juiciness and flow around me. Expansive love.
Present that the outward landscape shows up as a reflection of my inward landscape.
The tickle of the breeze on my skin, the sun on my face, the sound of the roosters, the smell of incense, the subtle shifts. It pulsates in the earth here. This jungle.
Microcosmic expansive heart space.
Let it all in.
Breathe it all in.
Let it marinade and soothe and organically clear out all that which no longer belongs or nurtures.
Let it out, release, detox, clear it out.
Slow down, be in my body, choose love, abundance, expansiveness and breathe 💛

The fear of failure can keep us from living a truly free life.
It can keep us • Prisoner in dead end relationships
• From taking action on projects that we really want to birth
• From loving the journey • From growing and learning • From the peace of mind that we seek.
But it doesn’t need to be this way.
Its possible to enjoy failure, just as its possible to hate success.
It’s all in how we interpret it.

👋HANDS UP IF YOU FEEL THE WORLD IS MOVING CRAZY FAST? 🌍🌎🌏
Sometimes it seems like everyone is hustling and rushing and pushing and grinding. It’s all go go go!
So, go gently.
Switch up the pace. Move at your own speed.
If something seems urgent, or someone is pressuring you to buy or decide RIGHT THIS SECOND, step back. Question the urgency.
Must it really be done now? What happens if you move it down your to-do list – or let it linger? Watch what happens when you don’t buy in to other people’s pace.
Let’s try it now: 👇
Stop scrolling, close your eyes, and just tune in to the sounds around you. 😑
Unless you’re on the freeway (in which case, open your eyes!), do you notice how slowly the natural world moves? How it sort of drifts in and out and around without hurry or fanfare?
That’s what we could do with right now. A pause. An uninterrupted moment. A second to breathe before taking the next step.
So take it.
Gently. Mindfully. Savour the stillness.
Then glide on your own way, at your own pace.
Feel good? Lemme know below, or just keep on drifting...☄
TBT to only a couple of weeks ago. Taking a break in a tree. During my career break I decided to go and spend 2 whole weeks at home with my family and friends, something I haven’t done since graduating. It felt so nice to spend some quality time with everyone, without rushing around and see new places I’ve never seen before, like the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. It was a beautiful day, we loved it!!
Ps. Definitely #wornit30times
this top is one of my oldest and most favoured. Originally bought when I travelled up the east cost of America when I was 21. Made from natural fabrics so perfect for hot sunny days and keeping cool! I just love me some tie dye!
Love, Lottie xx
