Got all ready for the gym, then got lazy and decided to squat in the garage. Two squats in I got even lazier and decided to pour myself a giant bowl of pumpkin spice cereal and sit outside with my buck toothed son. I’d say my Saturday has been pretty successful 😂

Someone sent me a DM asking how I handle being ‘bigger now’. That I used to be ‘so shredded’ and now I’m not. First of all..... I’m not, not shredded, I’m pregnant 🤰🏼. There’s a huge difference. Obviously I am bigger now because I am about to pop a small human out. I can’t believe that even has to be said 🙄She even kindly screen shotted this first pic of me to help with her case of how I used to look 💁🏼♀️-
Ok secondly, and most importantly.... be careful what you write to people. If I was younger, or less secure, or even just having a bad day- getting this message might have been incredibly destructive to me. Yep, I know I look different! Thanks 👍🏼I think she legitimately wanted to know how I mentally cope with my changing body but my initial thoughts were all about how this message could fuck a lot of women up. -
Pregnant women go through so many changes during their journey- structurally, emotionally, mentally, hormonally, and yes physically. Some pregnant women love their body, some struggle. Some have good days, and then days when the mirror is tougher. Just like everyone I think- that’s certainly not specific to pregnancy. Make sure what you are saying and sending to people is positive, or in the very least pls don’t be ignorant.-
so I’m choosing to love my body, extra fat, dimples, cellulite and all.... because I don’t have long to go and then this phase of my life is over and the biggest new beginning will be here. I know what being #shredded
is like, but I don’t yet know #motherhood

Given the fact that everyone has different genetics, some workouts will work for you and some won’t.
If you have a small & lean build I suggest you mainly train calisthenics (body weight workouts). If you have a large bulky build, you should stick to heavy compound lifts(Squat, Deadlift, Bench Press,& Shoulder Press). Now this doesn’t mean that you have to completely ignore other types of workouts, but it will definitely be easier to build muscle with a style of training that aligns with your body type.
So a lot of people ask me how I am able to stay motivated and go to the gym everyday. Truth is, I don’t need any motivation because I genuinely enjoy working out. In fact, you can say I’m addicted to it.
Watching myself grow and transform brings me happiness and content. If you don’t enjoy your workouts you will never feel satisfied and you won’t be putting in as much effort as possible. My advice would be to constantly try out new exercises until you find something you enjoy doing. Then going to the gym won’t be something you hate, but rather something you look forward too.

Today my mom and I were headed to the gym and I got really bad anxiety 😞 I wasn’t able to hit the gym today. I might be switching gyms tomorrow! I think it’s definitely time for a change! 💪🏽
One of the reasons I love body weight workouts is because they let your body move naturally, rather than being locked in to a certain position when doing normal lifts like a bench press or bicep curl.
Overtime when doing normal lifts your body becomes very stiff and your motion is restricted. On the other hand, body weight workouts actually improve your mobility and flexibility while still helping you build lean muscle.
It is a beautiful day! What are you up to? Today I am taking it easy still recovering from leg day but definitely gonna get some type of exercise in!!

Tomorrow is a new start to tackle all the things I normally put off including eating right and working out consistently but I am determined to get my shit together this week! I wanna cut out drinking coffee but that will definitely be a huge struggle, it will be a good thing though and my bank account will be greatful! Lol hope everyone one is ready for the new week! On my fitness journey I have had a hard time with getting discouraged with feeling like I’m not where I should be or that I could look better. I often forget that things like weight loss take time. I am learning to be okay with this process as I am looking forward to my results and journey to self love.
