This is me running past Himalayan balsam and the scent stopped me in my tracks.... When my marriage broke down I didn't sleep so when the dawn broke each morning I would walk in the nearby park which was full of this stuff.
I'd listen to the river running and find some peace at a time when my head barely stopped spinning.
I kept going because I knew I had to. I was in survival mode. Now I can be in a time of thriving but I'll never forget what it felt like to feel my whole world had collapsed and I had nothing.
The only thing I desperately wanted to hear from someone who knew from experience was:
"It does get better"
So here it is the honest truth:
It does get better
You will start to want to get out of bed again
You will laugh
You will have hope.
And then you can start supporting other people ❤️
If it's your time to start thriving not just surviving you know where I am ❤️
You are so much stronger than you think. You are not weak, you’re not a coward, you are so much more than what you see in the mirror. Get it together, get out bed, MAKE YOUR BED, and start your day off right!!!!!! Do not be afraid. Do not compare yourself to others. Every opportunity they have....YOU have. I have been drinking this shakeology for 1 week and I am so excited about how I feel! I have looked at it for a year now and just thought that it was another protein shake. I WAS WRONG!! I'm very excited to make my official announcement. After years of serious health issues, sever, chronic pain, depression & anxiety, and huge weight gain (which perpetuated the cycle), I decided to take control of the things that I could change. I committed to a healthier, happier lifestyle for myself over a year ago, and recently, I made the decision to help others do the same. I am officially a health & fitness coach through Beachbody! I'm also in the process of becoming certified to teach group fitness classes. As a coach, I get to mentor others in their own fitness journeys! Whether it be weight loss or body composition, nutrition, self-care or just living life to the fullest, I am thrilled to be teaching others what I have learned during my own, ongoing journey.

Your body is a chemical reaction and responds to what it is fueled with. 150 “empty” calories will ‘sure, taste great’ at the time- but it won’t satisfy you for a longer period of time. 150 calories of protein superfoods will keep you satisfied and full longer, so you’ll only eat the one serving and not 3 or 4 serving/handfuls. ::

I wasn’t going to post this because Day 2 should have been done yesterday but....TACOS 😬🌮 My FAVORITE thing about @liift4
is that it’s only 4 DAYS a week...which means 3 recovery days or in my case...3 days of flexibility so that I DON’T miss any workouts!
This program has FOREVER changed my life.
I have more MOTIVATION 👊🏻
I have more DETERMINATION 👊🏻
And FINALLY I will COMPLETE an entire program...something that I have set as a goal on and off for 15 YEARS!

Day 262 of 365: A Year of Growth

Here are 10 of my accomplishments from today:
1) Baby went down at 9:45pm, and slept until 7:15am, with no wake ups during the night.
2) Continuing to do pushups. +1 every day. Today 262 tomorrow 263. Busy day, little by little. In school is funny.
3) Returned the containers from August meeting.
4) Destroyed a softball with one of classes. String went around class 27 times and then just a ball of cork (but just fell apart.
5) Remebered to bring my toolcase into work in preparation for Science at school.
6) Looking for book suggestions. What are some of your must reads? One of mine is "Tacky the penguin" by Helen Lester. Funny book about some people being odd and that's ok. We all have our own strengths and abilities, we need to use them to the utmost.
7) Handed in report card forms (I think first) . If I don't hand in right away, I might lose it.
8 ) Attended monthly union steward meeting first as school steward. Thank you Leah for the drive.
9) Continued working on a simplified version of the Science curriculum, so that I can cut up and organize for the year.
10) Breakfast was eggs with fruit. And a banana.
Lunch was chocolate @Shakeology
Dinner was pasta, salad, stir fry, pickles, cold cuts and cheese. Thank you OCETFO for dinner.
This year will be a year of growth for me in many ways. Growth physically (strength), mentally, spiritually, emotionally, fearfully, etc. Each day I will share with you some of my growth. I've got a serious question for you. •
How many times have you said "next week", "next month", or "when I'm ready"? Now, how many Monday's have you been as miserable as the week before? How many first of the month's have come and you're as uncomfortable as the month before? When are you truly ever going to be ready? If you're in the situation that you want to change to say any of these things in the first place, then why wouldn't you be ready now? How much more tired, exhausted, depressed, overweight, out of shape, stressed out, unhappy, disgusted do you have to get? •
If you feel any of the things I listed then why wouldn't you be ready now? Why would you want to continue feeling all those negative emotions? Why would you want to prolong the pain or agony? Why wouldn't you want to start the change now? •
I'm here NOW. I'm waiting on your message NOW. I'm ready to help you NOW. So ask yourself, "why not NOW"?

I get asked why and how my fitness routine has been so successful and why this routine is so different than all the others out there. After doing this for a year now, I have identified why this has been so successful for me; .
1. This superfood shake. The healthiest meal of my day, that tastes like a peanut butter milkshake 🍦The ingredients and nutrition is something you can’t find anywhere else. It’s helped me kick my cravings as well as help me stay on track with my nutrition.
2. Convenience. I say it all the time. The fact that I have a personal trainer at my fingertips anytime I want- it couldn’t be easier or more sustainable. 4AM or Midnight, I can get my workout in, from anywhere.
3. It’s sustainable. There is no quick fix for a healthy lifestyle. Wraps and pills won’t work. YOU have to put in the work, and you have to be consistent.
4. The community. The community of other women who are doing the same exact thing is the best accountability I could ever ask for. They are here to support you and help you grow in more ways than one.

🗣 confession time ✋🏼
Most of my life I have struggled with depression and intermittent eating disorders. From dealing with a divorced family 👨👩👧👦 to bullying from 6th grade through jr. year of high school, the depression was there. And my unhealthy coping mechanism was binge eating, and sometimes guilt that led to bulimia. Once you go down that path, it’s hard to go back. 🚶🏼♀️
But recently I’ve been doing so much better. I’m at least one month eating disorder free!! 🙌🏼
I can sometimes still feel the urge to use food 🍕🥨as a way to cope with a bad day, or maybe just an argument with someone 🙅🏼♀️ It’s like it filled a hole in me that made me temporarily happy. I think the biggest help for me when I get those urges is my superfood shakes. They’re sweet, filling, healthy, and mostly; guilt free. 💕
As for my depression, that’s something I still have to fight with some days 🤕 But I can say that my exercise helps me with that a great deal. On my bad days, I’m super grateful that I have my online workout library so I can still hit my goals from home 💪🏼 (I don’t usually like socializing on these days) Using natural endorphins to change my mood, and ultimately, my day 💓 Not to mention that I know I’m taking one step closer to my goals with each workout! 👏🏼
