I’m going to be real for a moment. This is long but please bare with me. Sometimes we need to hear these things, at least I know I do.
I started this wellness lifestyle journey with a ton of enthusiasm. After a while, when the newness and excitement starts to fade, it can be easy to slip back into previous habits. When these times occur, focus on all you have accomplished! If you slip up and miss a workout or have a diet cheat, don’t let that be an excuse to throw in the towel and give up on yourself. How many times have you started a fitness program and that “that’s impossible!” Then, a few weeks later, you are crushing that exercise you thought was impossible. How many times have you looked at other people’s journeys and thought “I can’t do that” or “I will never be better then her/ him.” Guess what, this isn’t about them, it’s about YOU and how much YOU have improved!
Everyone has their own particular strengths and struggles. That is why you can’t compare your journey with someone else’s. Be proud of you! If you slip up, just acknowledge it and move on. Don’t dwell on it. Be proud of your progress: more reps/ less rest breaks in a workout/ increasing weights/ decreasing modifications/ going a day- week - month without a diet cheat, loosing an inch or a pound, completing a program, etc.
Be sure to Celebrate an improvement/ accomplishment/ crushing a goal by doing something for yourself: like buy new shirt/ shopping, get a massage, watch a new movie, take a bath, get a new book, get your hair or nails done, have a girls night or have an outing with someone special, etc. When you have an occasion to celebrate, please share with us so we can celebrate with you! Make yourself a priority so you can be active when your in your 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and beyond! Don’t let getting older be an excuse, make it the reason!

2) list one success you had this week.
3) list one struggle you had this week.
4) list one goal you want to set for yourself this week.
5) list what you will do for yourself when you meet that goal.
