So many times we become so engrossed in the things, habits and people that cause damage to us. It is just so hard to let go and we would rather burn whilst holding on tightly to the fire in our hands. Be courageous let it go and move on. Not everyone and everything is supposed to be in your life forever. Have a filter, have a standard, be nice to yourself and save yourself the heartbreak and bitterness. The bible says if your right hand or eye causes you to sin cut it off it is that serious! Free yourself from toxic things, habits and people, it is allowed!

The concept of a detox or cleanse has always puzzled me. Take something away from your diet for a short period of time and/or spend 3 days in the bathroom only to continue back to what you were originally doing some amount of time later... 🤷🏻♀️ .
If something is not going to make your life better (how you feel, your mood, your outlook, the way you spend your time, your energy, your happiness) 6 months, 1 year, 5 years from now- is it worth it? .
Now THIS is a cleanse and detox program that I can get on board with. .
Chase away thoughts that your body is not “good enough” how it is with affirmations that you can do amazing things with your body today. Do this each time a negative thought creeps into your mind. (Ex: The cellulite in my legs is so gross!- affirming thought: my legs are strong and allow me to play with my children, earn a living for my family, and power me through the exercise that energizes me). . 👊 .
Detox your life of people and things that try to convince you that your body needs to change to be better. If you’re constantly reminded by your Pilates class instructor that “it’s time to work on your summer bod!”, find a class who’s teacher focuses on strength and feeling good. I'm not quick to jump on trends. Usually let them run their course, do research and see if it's worth while. Decided to try this charcoal mask I picked up at @heb
I was skeptical at first. This is my 3rd time trying it. I try to stick to more natural and organic ingredients. I recognize a lot of the ingredients which are already part of my self care regimen. So far so good and of course peeling it off is where most of the fun comes from. LOL 😅

Find your people and love them hard ❤️ And by that I mean people who love, accept and encourage you no matter what. Your cheerleaders. The friends who are more like family. The ones who let you cry on their shoulder then push you to keep on going and believe in you even when you don’t 🙌
I feel blessed to have such wonderful people in my life who are exactly that. Friends I can lean on, seek advice from, reminisce about old times with and share my crazy ideas about the future with - and it’s met with a big YES! ✨
Incredible how a weekend away, soulful chats & maybe a bottle (or two!🙊) of champers can be such food for the soul x ❤️

Want to know what breaks my heart? That certain eating disorder behaviours are so common throughout our society that they are considered to be normal behaviours. This makes the warning signs even harder to detect when someone you love is suffering 🚫
It seems that every second person you meet is on some sort of diet or “health kick”. (Sorry but if your “health kick” involves restriction than its a diet.) ✋🏼
If you google eating disorder behavioural warning signs you’ll find the first warning sign to appear is dieting. They give examples of dieting behaviours such as fasting, counting calories, following a food plan, avoiding certain foods & weighing regularly. So essentially, all diets. In a world where dieting is the new normal does that mean that everyone on a diet has an eating disorder? 🤷🏼♀️ (NO) Another warning sign that will come up is evidence of binging. Now correct me if I’m wrong, but I dare say that anyone on a restrictive diet will find themselves binging at some point. You know, the whole “well f**k it, I’ve blown it now. Might as well eat “bad” for the rest of the day & start again tomorrow”. 😒 Something else to look for is extreme sensitivity to comments about body shape, weight, eating & exercise habits. Again. In a world where dieting has become the norm, as well as striving for an unrealistic exercise routine & this bullshit idea of what “beauty” is of course people are going to be sensitive to those comments! They have been brainwashed in to believing that if all these areas aren’t perfect than they aren’t good enough❗️
Reaching out when you have an eating disorder is already hard enough. But when you live in a world where so many of these behaviours are considered to be normal, it’s easier to convince yourself that you don’t need to seek help because you’re just like everyone else 🤔
My number one goal in life is to help people change their perspective on what they define to be beauty. I dream to help people view themselves, food & exercise like they never have before. Because if there is one thing I know to be true its that life is too short to let things that have such little meaning take up so much of your time, thoughts & life ❣️
