A few shots from a quick walk through Centro. Had to go to the department store across town to buy replacements for our stuff that got nicked, only just made it back through Centro in time to catch the sunset.
When you find yourself in a maze of stupas 😍. As westerners, we typically don’t differentiate between pagodas and stupas. However a pagoda is something you enter AND can be secular in purpose. • Being in Myanmar was so different for me because of these structures. I’ve never seen anything like them anywhere else I’ve been. Sure in Thailand you have the temples. But the pagodas and stupas are entirely something else. Ornate, old, beautiful. And seeming to just pop up out of the ground, at times, in the middle of nowhere, which is always a pleasant surprise! Riding around through Bagan and seeing a pagoda there. And one here. It was so cool, I wish I could have been around to see what it was like when they were originally built. • (However they were built as early as the 11th century and that would mean I’d be VERY DEAD by now).
Should you find yourself at Omoide Yokocho and realise you are either hungry, thirsty, or just keen for some respite from the hustle and bustle. @shinjuku_ennasubi

The main attraction at Luang Prabang’s Royal Palace is the museum, where you can learn about the country’s history (and see the piece of the moon the U.S. gifted to Laos). But don’t miss the temple out in front!
Traveling to Cuba isn’t as difficult as Americans believe. Nor is it dangerous at all. Of the 20 countries I’ve visited, Cuba is the safest. Yes. Safer than places in Europe and North America. The unfortunate reality is that the Cuban government is swift in prosecuting its own citizens, especially when the crimes can potentially hurt the tourism industry. This burden of security is lifted from the tourist, but pressed on a people that are often accused by mistake and have little rights to defend themselves with. #vsco #vscofilter #adventuretime #travelblogger #travelphotography #travelgram #seetheworld #passportready #cuba #photooftheday
Eyes of a child. No matter the species, children illicit a protective response from adults typically. I know that maternal instinct varies and that the sight of this small kitten may be as stimulating as tax forms, but for me it was hard. Seeing a small animal so friendly and wanting of attention (warmth, food whatever motivation) pulled at my heart strings. I even contemplated what the process of bringing her here would be, but I also understood how unfair that would be. The best I could do was spend two hours letting her sleep in my elbow, keeping warm. Someone else ended up coming up too and keeping another kitten sibling warm. We discussed his stance as a UK citizen who works in security towards immigration policy, while cuddling kittens.
