Sundowners sea swims.
In bed before 10pm with a 3.30am alarm call!! All so I can swim a bit ride my bike and go for a run!!!!! in Weymouth, and do the swimming in the sea! 😳
I’ve somehow never been to Lulworth Cove before. Did something about that today by taking the coast road home from Cornwall instead of the faster A303. So pleased we made the detour as it’s a stunning place. It was absolutely packed but only a few people in the water (probably because it was freezing!) so the boy and I had a nice swim. #lulworthcove #seaswimming #outdoorsisfree #jurassiccoast #dorset
That’s me... wild swimming 🏊♀️ ... one of my favourite holiday things..💕💫
Making wobbly sandcastles on a grey day with old friends is what Cornish summer weekends were made for - that and getting into the sea with the man who introduced me to the life-affirming joy of openwater swimming at a time when my life needed affirming and the joy was just a bonus - thank you Simon. Now we just need a spot of sunshine for the BBQ! 📸 @katietreggiden.1
Class first open water swim race. Not sure on my time but I think i was 15th overall including wetsuit swimmers. Got a little lost which cost me but definitely keen for more of this. #openwater #seaswimming #portrush #eastdabeast
In stark contrast to my last session at Budleigh it was blowy AF today! You know it’s gonna be good when a group of dog walkers applaud you as you’re getting in. I basically spent an hour being thrown around in disgusting brown sea water, which I enjoyed immensely.
The only slight downer today was having to pee in my wetsuit. As a pool swimmer you NEVER piss in the pool, but today I swam around marinading in my own urine. If that’s not worth a few quid I don’t know what is! Please if you can, donate using the link in my bio or find my story on my Facebook page. My pissy wetsuit and I are off home to get clean! Big love 💙🛁
Another of life’s hurdles climbed. My first bike ride on the road for over eleven weeks. Up to now I have only trained on the turbo indoors because pulling the brakes on and putting full weight on the injured arm/wrist/hand was an issue. Only a short ride of 17 miles that is a flat quiet ride from home. Just after a mile I had to ask Steve to ride a bit faster since there is nothing wrong with my legs after all. Good to be out again. Four weeks to go to my comeback event, Brighton and Hove SebaMed Triathlon on September 16th. I have entered the sprint race and I am looking forward to it enormously. It suits me down to the ground; sea swim, flat lap bike course and promenade run and just about 18 miles from my home. #eyeonthegoal #brightonandhovetriathlon #seaswimming #sprintdistance #recovery #stayingfocused #triathlon #training #sport #mentalattitude #work #dreams
