At Moon Valley Organics, our skin care creations begin with the soil we tend, weaving through many stages, connecting an integral network, all the way to the palm of your hands. It is our experience that organic farming is ideal because it works in harmony with the interwoven nature of all things. From the land, water, plants, animals and humans; our planet is interdependent on each element maintaining balance. With all things connected, we see the current environmental and human stressors threatening pollinators with reduced populations and habitat loss. We recognize it is our responsibility to protect pollinators because they are the life that sustains us—pollinating nearly 75% of our crops!
We have created a campaign to promote pollinator awareness & bee education in our communities. We donate 10% of all Herbal Lip Balm net profits to organizations that work to promote pollinator health through conservation, legislation and research. This mission has fostered our connection and partnership with the Xerces Society. Since 1971, the Xerces Society has worked to protect invertebrates and their habitats. Invertebrates are an essential part of all ecosystems, contributing to the survival of wildlife, the pollination of crops, and the health of our environment. The Xerces Society is working to protect the life that surrounds us, but this work is only possible with donor support.
Still wondering just how much of an impact pollinators have on your life? Bees, birds, bats and other insects pollinate over 75% of our flowering plants, and nearly 75% of our crops. Not just food but medicine, condiments and spices too! Often we may not notice the hummingbirds, beetles, butterflies and moths that carry pollen from one plant to another as they collect nectar. Yet without them, our global community would miss many herbs, fruits, vegetables and nuts. The list of foods we rely on pollinators for is extensive and it includes all time favorites like blueberries, almonds, squash, apples and even chocolate and coffee!!
Yeah—for real! So support pollinators in your area by eating organic, banning pesticides from your home and garden and visiting xerces.org for more resources.

As women in biz, we have to work harder & smarter than our male peers. This phenomenon still bewilders me as we are conditioned to multitask every facet of our life, from work to motherhood to running a household, while still making time for self-care and friendships.
But at the end of the day, the desire to create happiness to those around us & fuel the passions that live inside us, drive us to rise above all challenges.
