Developing partnerships can substantially maximize your business potentials.
Without doubts, you must have an existing marketing strategy and revenue generating force in place, but you can sometimes reduce substantial customer acquisition cost by building strategic partnerships with other businesses or organizations.
Your supply chain business partnerships are just a way of sourcing your resources of doing business. You are just another customer to them, nothing else. If they were to help you with your customer acquisition, they will also have to help your competitors as well. So, there is not much hope there. Instead, negotiate better terms with them for a better source, pricing, delivery etc.
I am suggesting, you should come up with unique programs that mutually benefits you and your potential strategic partners. I.e. offering a discount or contributing part of generated revenues to a non profitable organization! If you were to come up with a way of getting the organization allowing you to target their members’ base with a valuable benefit!
Think outside the box, you can be in the clothing business per say. Now, how can you build a strategic partnership with a fitness center or chain! Remember, your creativity is also an opportunity to other business or organization you are about to propose.
