A few weeks to go before @chimarathon
2018. Everytime when I hit the road, there is always a few things that hit me.. First thing is Effort. Did i run with my full effort? If the effort was there well, that’s literally all you can ask of your body.
Secondly will be your mental vs physical...mostly mental game. The devil in you will always ask you to stop and the other will ask you to go on.Was your mind engaged? Did you give up when it felt tough or did you actively work to keep things on deck to make the best of a tough run?
Am I running in my best form, right posture. This happen specially towards the end as our body begin to fatigue.
Was your form breaking down? Even if your pace may slow because the run felt tough you can still control how you are holding your body and whenever we refocus on form we usually see an uptick in pace as well!
Today seems well for me, and I need to keep it going. Melbourne weather threw everything at me today. Rain, hail, sun and gale force winds. But I won. In your face winter 👊🏼👊🏼20km @5:42 pace.
• YOU ARE TOUGHER THAN YOU THINK •
Seriously Melbourne weather!! Today was one of those days. 8 degrees and wind gusts of upto 50km. Hail, rain and sun. I set out to run 18km and ended up running 20km. Just to prove to myself that I can run in any conditions. .
We are all stronger than we think. Push through the pain. And believe you can and you will.
It was way too nice to not be outside! So I took my gym outdoors and knocked out 20 minutes HIIT + 15 minutes of abs before enjoying the rest of our Saturday! 🌞 And just in case you were wondering...Mya did join me with getting her exercise on, too! We mostly played tug-of-war while I did my thing... but we were both happy to be outside! Plus, it’s nothing like a little extra resistance training bonus! 🐶

mitgenommen. Hat sich mal wieder als absolut notwendig erwiesen 🙏. Dextro und sonstige Drinks vertrage ich nämlich so gar nicht. Geht ihr bei Wettkämpfen auch lieber auf Nummer sicher? Oder verfolgt ihr das Motto „No Risk no fun“? #comebackstronger

first race, she's doing the 10k race that starts at the same time.
For me it's part of my prep for the @_chester_marathon_
which is around 8 weeks away and I'll be using it to see how my training is going. Hoping for my first sub 90 and to see if my target time for the full marathon is likely to happen.
