Upper body saturday 😜 Så er lørdagen skudt godt igang💪 vejret er skønt og 5 af de gode pull ups på kontoen NU💪💪💪 Nøj hvor har jeg kæmpet med at nå til bredt greb, 2 år har jeg snart brugt på det, jeg elsker og hader dem, mest elsker nu😜 for idag nev jeg 3x5 styks. Quinten head race. This was my first time rowing on bow side. I now row on both bow side and stroke side which is pretty useful. We came 4th in our division in this race and 7th overall. We also managed to overtake 3 other crews during our race which you can see a bit of in the video. 🔥 Unilateral Training 🦄 - 🔹 Unilateral exercises are single-leg or single-arm movements. The primary benefit of including unilateral exercises in your training programs is that you will be using both sides of the body equally. This in turn has several benefits, these are: 🔹Corrects Muscle Imbalances - Most people have one side that’s stronger than the other. When you have a non-dominant or weak side, it creates a muscle imbalance that increases your risk for injury. Unilateral training helps to even these imbalances out from a strength perspective. However your dominant side is not always the strongest within a movement. 🔹 Builds Core Stability - When you work one side of your body at a time, you activate your core muscles to maintain balance. This forces you to work stabilizing muscles that don’t always get the focus they deserve. Core stabilizers are your deep trunk muscles. They include the transversus abdominis and internal obliques. 🔹 Greater Focus On The Muscle - When you train unilaterally you can really focus in on the side you’re working. This lets you maximize the range of motion during that exercise and quality of the contraction. 💮2 days of lifting and 2 more PRs💮 170lb lowrow today, wasnt a pretty set and I only counted 2 maybe 3ish of those reps. (Im hard on myself but a half ass rep isnt a rep at all in my eyes.) I also db pressed 90lbs today after an exhausting chest day so thats pretty hype. I managed 3 reps and failed the 4th so thats a little upsetting but progress isnt made without struggle. Thursday I had a pretty good leg day despite constantly suffering from the tightness in my back. Im convinced my back aches exist from my hip flexors being too tight so I've been including more stretches into my workout routines. My squats and deadlifts have been really light lately from fear of injury too but your body is a priority if you intend to keep improving. Working in a warehouse performing constant physical labor has been hindering my training in the gym but I have no excuse to not push myself everyday in the gym. #redcon1 #totalwar #bignoise #dbpress #squat #row #strength #inthemaking #conditioning
