The motivation may have been lacking during this mornings long run but no such problems getting on the bike and spending 2:25 in the garage. Always have and always will prefer being on the bike to running and swimming but need to master all three disciplines.
After heading out at 6am for the long run, I was on the bike at 8pm for the long ride. Hard bike with sprints although I messed up and the sprint blocks didn’t pull through from @trainingpeaks
which left me 24mins short and no sprints 😩 I had been looking forward to them all week, I just didn’t have the time to rebuild the whole workout again so went with the 1:58 ride instead but took my frustration out on the pedals clocking up 46.4 miles in 1:58 at 23.6mph ave 228w for the ride with a 20min ave peaking at 278w, only 10w shy of Fridays FTP.
Another week done and just under 16 weeks until @ironmantri
70.3 Mallorca. I am getting really excited about where my bike could be after a further 15 weeks of hard work. In the first 6 weeks my power has gone up by 45w, obviously I can’t sustain that progress but looking a lot better than where I was 12 months ago.
