The start of a new year brings time not only for reflection but some lengthy digital detoxing. ✅
What I’ve come to endear and revere the most are those things we can connect to and with, on a more genuine and meaningful level.
I stepped into Sound Spectrum Music 🎵 & Memorabilia store in Laguna Beach and felt excited and giddy like a little girl.
My older sister had a record player💽, my first tape 📼was Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer, and my first cd’s 📀were the Offspring and Green Day.
I tell you what though, for the life of me, I can’t remember my first download.
Is that indicative of the times or generational?
I’m not too sure. But, I can say, the feeling I got picking up a vinyl and touching a record is pretty timeless.
We’re living in an era where ‘stuff’ and content lives in an invisible cloud, but the staying power of touch remains ever strong and powerful.
I booked a few headliners recently for the epic @rotbikerrally
festival and it pumps me up to know the oldies are goodies and relevant now more than ever.

Its a testament that old and the new can co-exist and music is constantly shaping and transcending generations.
Music is my universal. What’s yours?
