So, I don’t know about you guys, but all this Christmas baking with all the kneading, mixing and stirring is making my forearms sore, which got me thinking about how we focus so much on our biceps and triceps when working out, that we tend to neglect our forearms. Our forearms contain so many muscles that we use in our daily activities. We don’t often think about it, but every time we pull something or twist open a jar, we are using our forearm strength. So, here 👆🏼are a couple of simple exercises you can do with very light weights (between 2-5 lbs) that will only take a few minutes, but will definitely help you open that pickle jar!
And yes, I realize if I used a stand mixer my forearms wouldn’t be sore. But, I don’t have one, so it’s all me 💪🏼!

And started water aerobics for the first time since I was pregnant with my littlest boy (who is two now). It felt AMAZING. I forgot how nice it is to feel weightless while still getting in a great cardio workout. Also enjoyed a nice long and relaxing shower in the gym locker room right after my class. 💆🏼♀️🤗 #momspa
I honestly haven’t been running for about 6 months now (which is why I’ve been a bit MIA on my “running” insta! 🙈) I’ve still been weightlifting consistently through my pregnancy (after I had already been doing it consistently for about a year), which is something I truly enjoy and feels great. Running right now just puts too much pressure on my body in it’s third pregnancy, but I’m looking forward to starting up again after baby. 🏃🏼♀️🏋🏼♀️ I still want to document my health and fitness during pregnancy as much as I can, because I have been so encouraged by many strong mamas in the past who have shared theirs!

Not feeling super great today so I'm skipping the gym and my biweekly plasma donation to give my body time to repair itself. I've got an ear infection (again! That's twice this winter) and I'm not sure if it's related but I also have a runny nose and slightly sore throat. 🤞🤞 Praying to the virus gods that I'm not getting sick! 🙏 But it seems inevitable at this point since just about everyone I know has been sick the last week or two. Instead of hitting the weights today, I'm going to do some restorative yoga and relax.
