Resilience is what gives people the psychological strength to cope with stress and hardship. It is the mental reservoir of strength that people are able to call on in times of need to carry them through without falling apart.
I am resilient
I trust the movement
I negate the chaos
Uplift the negative
I'll show up at the table
Again and again and again
I'll close my mouth and learn to listen

We can’t control what happens to us in life, but we CAN choose how we respond.
Looking forward to my next challenge in May. 117 mile race across Devon @climbsouthwest
.... Remember anyone can sign up to a race, I haven't completed it yet!
One big challenge per year is my normal routine. However this year I have two.
I like to challenge myself both mentally and physically each year to push my boundaries. I try and do it differently each time to avoid plateaus!

TRAFFIC IN THE MIND
Did you know that the mind has between 60,000 and 70,000 thoughts a day? Wild, right! We thought so too. With all that noise it can be hard to feel connected. Connected not just with your family and friends but to yourself, your body and the environment around you. That's why we'd like to invite you to an evening to talk about the tools available because we want to help you find that clarity and connection. We'll be talking brain states, neurofeedback, and light meditation with the Lucia N°03, and offering demos with @openmindsperformance
and myself, @remindmeditation.ca.
We hope you can join us for the conversation.
What to expect for the evening:
6:30PM-8PM - open house with neurofeedback and light meditation demos
8PM-9:30PM - discussion, Q&As
When: April 23, 2019 from 6:30-9:30PM
Where: 203 -1836 West 5th The Village Bloomery Office (not store)
This is a FREE event, and space is limited; RSVP via link in bio.

I've just been part of the panel being interviewed by the fabulous @swarzymacaly
inspiring years 9 and 10 about the endless possibilities in potential creative career paths! Alongside @tomysalmon
from BBC Introducing Cumbria and Gary Glozier Design Director at Th_nk
We were asked some fantastic questions and hopefully we sprinkled enough inspirational seeds to help them grow and develop to become whatever they would love to be! The possibilities really are endless!
The main thing that holds most people back is our mindset, the internal blockages and limiting beliefs that make us feel like we can't do things or we're not good enough. I've been working on these blockages for the past 5 years by reading my way through the positive psychology section of the library, going to seminars, listening to pod casts, watching motivational and inspirational YouTube videos and testing out methods to get rid of my limiting beliefs. The truth is, if we smash down those internal barriers and develop the skills we need and believe in ourselves, we can achieve whatever we want! If you don't know what you want, explore, test out some ideas, gain as much work experience in the areas you might think is interesting, research, ask people how they became the person they are today. Read autobiographies by people who inspire you to see what their path was like! The tools are out there you just need to go on a treasure hunt to find them!!!!!! ✨✨✨✨✨#inspiring #sharingknowledge #inspire #believeinyourself #focus #resilience #thefutureisinyourhands #determination #motivation #gainskills #research #personaldevelopment #howto #learn #educateyourself #educationneverends #learnsomethingneweveryday
When you’re bestie @charlenaishani
randomly comes across your resilience anthem on Spotify at the EXACT moment that we’re talking about our upcoming women’s empowerment workshop in the making and we start singing the song as if we’ve known the words all along. Life can be a roller coaster ride of highs and lows, but when you have epic women in your life who empower you to keep rising, it makes every blow that much easier to bare. I’m so blessed to live out my days with this beautiful human being. I love you so much babe. Thank you for being my anchor during my darkest days. Together, we rise @risingappalachia
Theres people who are physically paralyzed, yet, they’re making a big difference in the world. They’re grateful. They’re conscious. They’re happy. They truly understand what it means to live a full life.
There’s others who aren’t physically limited, yet, they’re basically paralyzed at a mental level (I’m not talking about those who are diagnosed with a mental illness). They complain. They’re unconscious. They’re unhappy. They take life for granted.
Most of us have experienced this debilitating state for periods of time. Becoming aware and learning how to get unstuck is the key.
What triggers this state for you? Do you have destructive habits that cause you to feel stuck?
Have you become aware of how you get unstuck? Maybe you have some constructive habits that empower you and help you to stay balanced?
By practicing awareness, we become conscious in our lives and recognize what makes us feel happy. We learn to keep ourselves empowered and balanced. We find a deeper appreciation for life. We can do bigger and better things with our lives.
At the outset of spring, my birthland is dealing with a series of floods that have led to loss of lives.
Loss is devastating: loss of life, losing jobs, losing health, etc.
It is extremly hard to think of it in a positive way. However, after the initial shock and disbelief, one coping mechanism is to reframe how we look at what has happened.
If we have enough resilience, we can allow ourselves to see it differently and not succomb to the sorrow forever.
The people in floods in Iran, my heart goes to you. For whoever reading this, please donate money to diaster relief in Iran. @childfoundation
is doing a fundraising.
You are helping another mankind faraway but you can still feel the warmth of your generosity in your heart.

Everyone has a turning point in their life. A moment of silence where emotions have been built up with frustration, anger and hurt. The stand still minutes where you crave for change because you are sick and tired. A time where everything has bottled up and you can no longer take it and everything is just about to burst. But you think clearly and more wise to just let it all go.
When you let it go, you are in complete understanding that you are so much better. That you are so much greater. That all the hate is just a learning experience and that all of that negative experience with all the people, situations and circumstances become of value for you. A time of understanding and emancipation.
It’s time to let go, see the big picture, and go your separate ways. You don’t have to carry a burden on yourself anymore. You don’t need anything or anyone clinging on to you stopping you from being successful or happy. Let it go, and keep moving. Trust me, trust you, and you will inspire other people too. The good ones, the bad ones and the strangers too😊

F.I.N.I.S.H. what you started. 🍀
🍀 It's not always the easiest thing to do..... but this is where integrity (honoring your agreements) kicks in. Think about WHY you committed to something and focus on the next step..... and the next...... and before you know it - you're at the finish line.
🍀 Currently, I'm in a season of growth and uncertainty, joy and pain, transformation and doubt. When I share encouraging words with you, I am also encouraging myself. Through all of your struggles, you can still cross goals off your list..... slowly, but surely.
The race is not given to the swift, but those who endure to the end. F.I.N.I.S.H. what you started. 🍀
