Day 14 sorry I missed a few ....@chefbrandonallen
This is a very sensitive topic, so the first thing I want to make very clear is the fact that regardless of what anyone’s opinion is on CHS, until human research is done, no one has the exact answer and nothing is definitive.
At first I dismissed the idea of pesticides being the cause of CHS but as I continued my research, I am definitely considering pesticide poisoning to be a possible PART of the cause. However, I am not dismissing excess cannabis consumption being an issue either.
Neem oil has been used in ancient medicine for nearly as long as cannabis and there are plenty of studies to show the positive medicinal benefits. However, there are many compounds in Neem just like there is cannabis, one of them being azadirachtin which has shown to be an insecticide, but also has therapeutic effects. There are several case studies of azadirachtin/neem poisoning and most of them involve children and the elderly, with oral intake causing poisoning, and even death. .
Symptoms include: Swelling in the liver and brain, confusion, sleepiness, brain disease, damage, or malfunction, loss of consciousness, convulsions, tremors, and seizures, blood pressure and blood sugar issues, metabolic acidosis or acidic blood, diarrhea, rapid breathing, and more.
There are inhalation studies on rats with neem oil exposure showing the lowest level of toxicity based on EPA guidelines. Now, if we are going to take rat studies about cannabis and talk about their results as if they benefit humans, then we must have that same mindset with other compounds.
Neem is used heavily throughout the cannabis industry and many people consume multiple times a day with neem/azadirachtin in their products, so if this really was the sole issue, I think there would be an epidemic of CHS throughout the community, not just within the very very very low percentage of users who are experiencing it.
Instead of arguing about who is right or wrong about CHS, how about we come together as a community and get the funding needed to figure this out!

So many struggles, patterns, illnesses and negative beliefs aren’t even ours... they have been handed down over several generations. I met with someone recently who said she was just waiting to get diagnosed with diabetes because “everyone in her family gets it”... and she knows her grandkids will have it soon too. She didn’t say they -may- be diagnosed with diabetes she said they WILL be diagnosed. When I questioned her on it she said that her grandparents and parents have it and her sister too. So she just knew it was a matter of time. My thoughts to her - do some research on preventative measures, change your diet, daily exercise and shift her mindset... she may still be diagnosed but why sit and wait. Why not try to focus on being healthy and all that you can do to help yourself? ❤️ I met with another friend who fully believes she is not worthy of being successful and having money because her father and mother both have deep rooted poverty mindsets. You can 100% love your parents but you do NOT need to hold onto their negative beliefs. Why not work on shifting your mindset to believe that you are worthy of being successful and have an abundance of money to enjoy life? Why not try to change your own thoughts so that not only you will excel and thrive and flourish but your children will to? ❤️ We are in control of our thoughts. It takes time to change habits, negative thoughts and patterns... but I believe it is possible. ❤️ What patterns and beliefs are your parents and not your own?? ❤️ I love my parents deeply but I do not have to re-live their struggles and ancestral patterns. Just some Wednesday thoughts for you to ponder 😁❤️
Alaskans know about bears, moose and whales, but what about little brown bats?
Researchers at UAA’s Alaska Center for Conservation Science are working with the Applied Environmental Research Center and @USFWS
wildlife managers to learn how vulnerable little brown bats are to white-nose syndrome. The disease affects bats across North America and is called “an ecological disaster” affecting pest management, pollination and agriculture.

Whenever I read of new cancer research, I am always a little skeptical because most of the “new findings” are done in labs with mice.
However, the latest study published in the Journal Immunity has some pretty remarkable ideas.
The study looked at how mice responded to a diet that had normal diet of fruits, vegetables, protiens, carbs, and fats and one that was purified and controlled.
Our digestive system produces a compound called I3C (I call it thingy) when vegetables are eaten and present in the digestive track. Specifically in plants called brassicas-things like kale, brussel sprouts, etc. Most of the things nobody likes to eat but knows they should.
Basically mice were fed a diet with these “thingys” and some different mice were fed a diet without these “thingys”. They found that:
1. The mice that DID have the thingys from the vegetables did NOT have inflammation in their colon
2. Inflammation in your colon can lead to polyps.
3. Two things can possibly happen from polyps in the long run: 1. Nothing 2. Lead to cancer
Dr. Chris Schiering, one of the researchers said, “even without genetic risk factors, a diet devoid of vegetable matter can lead to colon cancer."
We are taught nearly everything in life is a product of nature or nurture, genes or environment. This research may be the start of more research into how to these compounds can protect us against colon cancer and that colon cancer may also be a product of your environment, not hereditary in some cases.
Had an absolute blast filming the @netflixuk
documentary, 'Drugs: Absolute Fucking Hassle' in Cuba this summer. Some great stories to tell and, as expected, some ball burstingly frustrating hassle. Most of the aggrivation wasn't drug related - lost bags at the airport and a drunken street artist were the main sources of the hassle. In hindsight, we didn't find much out about drugs at all, but here I am having a drink at a party with a man who beheaded eight members of his own family. Beat him at swingball and nicked his lighter. Can't wait for this one to drop. #TV #drugs #hassle #Cuba #love #blessed #research #documentary #information #insight #drama @lozjharkness

For the 3rd consecutive year, Toronto continues to lead North America in 'Crane Index' w 97 this year vs 88 last year. Each crane in skyline represents hundreds of direct construction jobs & hundreds of indirect professional jobs. The market continues to be led by the residential sector, which makes up over 86% of the total crane count. Other active sectors include mixed-use and commercial developments, followed
by education, healthcare, and hospitality. Looking ahead, Toronto is expected to see a boost in spending on infrastructure, which is anticipated to trigger an increase in construction activity. More than 400 high-rise projects have been proposed, adding to the city’s dynamic skyline.
Metrolinx and the City of Toronto, as co-proponents, have completed an Environmental Project Report (EPR) for six new SmartTrack stations. Metrolinx and the City of Toronto intend to proceed with the project in accordance with the EPR.
The City of Toronto’s SmartTrack concept uses the Metrolinx GO network to provide additional and more frequent transit service in the City of Toronto. Specifically, SmartTrack is an enhancement of the Metrolinx Regional Express Rail (RER) program. RER will significantly increase rail service across the GO network by providing electrified, 15 minutes or better service on five GO corridors in core areas. To support this service increase, Metrolinx and the City of Toronto are undertaking the development of six new SmartTrack stations at the following locations:
* St. Clair-Old Weston (Kitchener rail corridor near the St. Clair Avenue West / Old Weston Road intersection);
* King-Liberty (Kitchener rail corridor near the King Street West / Sudbury Street intersection);
* East Harbour (Lakeshore East/Stouffville rail corridor between the Don River and Eastern Avenue);
* Gerrard-Carlaw (Lakeshore East/Stouffville rail corridor at the Gerrard Street East / Carlaw Avenue intersection);
* Lawrence-Kennedy (Stouffville rail corridor at Lawrence Avenue East); and
* Finch-Kennedy (Stouffville rail corridor at Finch Avenue East). The EPR for the six new SmartTrack stations is now available online, on Metrolinx’s website, and at the locations listed on the Notice of Completion for a 30-day public review period starting July 20, 2018 and ending on August 20, 2018.
The average monthly rent for condo leases signed across the GTA over the past three months skyrocketed by 11.2 per cent, year over year, according to condominium market analysis firm Urbanation, reaching an average of $2,302 per 732 square-foot. "The $231 average increase over the past year was the largest ever recorded by Urbanation, with rents having risen by $367 in two years," reads a report from the firm, which has been tracking condo data in Toronto since 1981.
To put this in perspective, the average studio apartment — which means no bedroom — is currently going for around $1,720 per month. A one bedroom without den will run you about $2,000, but, again, that's only if you can find one to rent. "Current rental supply has fallen to a critically low level," said Urbanation president Shaun Hildebrand in a release this week. "Demand has been pouring into the market while rental construction still remains relatively low, condo projects are taking longer to reach completion, not as many investors are offering their units for rent, and tenants aren't moving as often." ▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️
