You are enough. You are enough you are enough you are enough. Just as you are. In this moment. Tired eyed and bedraggled, you are enough. And my God you are worthy and deserving of your love too. Maybe the sleepless nights have dulled the sparkle in your eye; but that fire still burns deep within your belly. You are tired physically and emotionally, and your soul is tired too, but remember this: this isn’t forever. It’s a small phase and chapter in your life. You are doing the best you can. And whilst it may feel like you’re not BEING the best version of yourself right now, be gentle on yourself. You’ll get there. It’s not easy being Mother Mary on 5 hours of broken sleep. Preserve those precious energy reserves for some self nourishment. It will go a long way...a walk in the park barefooted in the grass... a silly dance as your little babe laughs and giggles... a gentle stretch of those tired limbs...allow yourself this time to recover and rejuvenate. You’ve just grown and birthed a baby! Quit trying to please everyone and their unrealistic expectations for you to just ‘bounce back’ - the world can wait. And if they’re not willing to wait as you nurture yourself and your baby, then to put it politely, they can jog the fuck on.
Now breathe. Smile. You’ve got this.

Finally made it home. The 3 hour drive is always quite painful but I did get a shot of morphine before I left. That seemed to help a lot. Mostly tired now and trying to wrap my head around the crazy last couple days. I’m super thankful for my family being able to step up very last minute and take care of JJ for us! I guess there was a weird reason that I actually had all my Christmas shopping done early. I’m normally the one to procrastinate when it comes to that. 🙈 Time for some R&R and Netflix binge.
