[ My personal opinion follows. Please understand that I watch a series more then once for my best opinion.]
🚨 SPOILER ALERT 🚨 Excuse me @netflix where is season 2?! This show was an incredible thrill ride from beginning to end. The comedy was all over the place! Probably my favorite characters were MOST DEFINITELY Haymish ( he was handsome too 😍 ) & Randall. First of all, Randall what the hell?! Wolfing out in a strange place!? Smh. The occult aspect/ vibe was so interesting. It made it feel real; like it’s something to expect anywhere. Not to give too much away, however, I felt it was a bit rushed & some details that should have been more pronounced were basically lost. One that lacked the most was the actual revenge of Jacks mother. Where was the back story? I felt like it wasn’t really told & they kind of brushed it off. I feel like there should have been a WAY better back story on pops and his hate for Edward Coventry. I would have loved a back story on the Knights of St. Christopher too. Alas, we are only in season 1 & one would hope they will give us a better story line. The acting was excellent & definitely a show I would watch repeatedly.

Mourning jewelry has my heart. I think I will always have a deep appreciation for the way people grieved and let the world around them see their grieving process. I'm pretty sure that if you collect mourning jewelry, you are familiar with @sarahnehama and her book, "In Death Lamented - The Tradition of Anglo-American Mourning Jewelry", a Companion Volume to the Fall Exhibition at the Massachusetts Historical Society. I just want to give this book and its author an over-due appreciation post. Not only is the book interesting and educational, but the collection displayed is extraordinary. Lastly, Sarah is someone who so freely and kindly shares her vast knowledge with others. #indeathlamented#igjewelrybooks#recommended#highlyrecommended#worththeread#mourning#mourningjewelry#historicaljewelry
