We have three short weeks before 2019 gets here, busy time for all of us. The most wonderful time of the year can be one of the most stressful, and to make the season more enjoyable I ask you to think about #BALANCE
. Hold on to those #dailyrituals
, that help calm and center us (#yoga
, reading before bed, anything that helps you #recharge
), don’t give it up in favor of another holiday chore. Give yourself permission to forget about your to-do list, schedule a break, and enjoy it. Do something that makes you happy, remember to have fun. Bottling up your stress for too long can lead to health issues and a weakened immune system. So it’s crucial to find a release that works for you, whether it’s a few minutes of dancing, singing or deep breathing. Sometimes screaming for 5 seconds somewhere private helps a lot. Yes, seriously, I’ve tried it in the car, works great. Sneak in a quick walk outside, you’ll feel a lift in your mood after just 5 minutes! Also, don’t hesitate to ask for help (tasks could be split between family members) and know when to say NO. Remember, your time is precious, leave it for meaningful events that focus on the holiday and family time.
