Ig is what i’m saying is being a bad project and being “mainstream” isn’t the same thing. Let me explain some different ways albums are good even tho they are mainstream in a way. Let me know if you need me to clarify anything.
Kendrick: When Kendrick drooped damn a lot of people were mad that he took the mainstream route. I still am mad and i hope his next album is different but damn was good despite being quite mainstream. It had mainstream as fuck songs like humble and dna that people completely over played but also it had some under the radar bangers like duckworth, yah and element.
Tyler: I didn’t like a lot of his older stuff but wolf was pretty good and goblin was decent. Then i heard flower boy and i understood. Flower boy is one of my favorite of all time it’s a masterpiece. The reason i would call it mainstream is because a lot of people get mad and call flower boy fans “tyler bandwagons” when it’s really his best album imo.
Travis: Already having multiple mainstream as fuck singles travis was used to being on the charts. Then he dropped astroworld and it got popular for all the wrong reasons. Good songs like sicko mode and stargazing got the most attention even though they weren’t the best. This album was mainstream but also the non mainstream parts about it are the best parts, songs like coffee bean, rip screw, skeletons.
Frank: Imma be honest and say I really used to not listen to frank because i saw white thots from my school posting him so i didn’t care. But then i listened to him because of odd future and i was so mad i had been missing out. I heard blond and loved it and really got into all of blond.
