So I've posted progress pics before of my weight loss journey but not really any of my more recent goals to grow my glutes and quads, but I have worked very hard and even a little progress is still progress right?And I'm proud of it! When ppl say it takes consistency, time, and hard work it is the honest truth! When I lost weight I also lost a lot of my 🍑🍑 and then I lost a lot more training for my half marathon this past Oct. After a few weeks of letting my knees recoup from all the running, yes, it took a few weeks, I gradually cut out all running, started to focus most of my workouts on weight training, calorie surplus, and consuming more protein. My diet is my biggest struggle and Ill admit I don't do it right everyday but with time I'll get it. I've totally annoyed my office trainer with questions and read what feels like 100 articles on strength training and diets and followed a ton of insta trainers. Shout out to of few you should follow @suse_urrutia @bribaebee and @bootyking   who offer great booty workout plans and WILL actually write back when you have questions. I am excited to see if a new plan I'm working on will show new progress! SN: dude please don't slide in my dms asking to holla. Doubt I'm going to find my man in insta. Some fun facts about training so far this year. . 1) I have gained nearly 2kg muscle mass. While gaining less than 1kg fat. Which is a big deal after a full year with no lean mass change. . For the 6 working weeks, excluding deload week, for squat, bench, and deadlift I have: 2) performed 324 working sets. 3) performed 751 reps. 4) lifted 604,700lb or 275 tonnes. . I have set rep PRs in every lift I've done. 5) 315lb x 10, 325lb x 9, and 335 x 8 on high bar back squat. 6) 275lb x 8, and 300lb x 6 on front squat. 7) 205lb x 10 and 225lb x 8 on bench. 8) 375lb x 11 (meant to do 10 but lost count), and 425lb x 8 on conventional deadlift. . . I am very very excited about how things are going and where they will end up. . . Thanks @bodycomp_imaging for the scans. Here is an exercise focusing on ankle stiffness and rate of force development. Simply put this is how fast you can produce force. When jumping/sprinting it’s crucial to produce force quickly & efficiently to spend the least amount of time on the ground as possible (ground contact time). The band allows me to jump higher than I could on my own and to spend less time on the ground in between jumps. Single leg helps strengthen the ankle/foot and exposes any instabilities that may be covered by bilateral (two leg) movements.
