Smoothie bowls are super easy to make, inexpensive & can store prep away for weeks 🍓 -
Freeze peeled bananas whole or sliced up & portion in a tub. I then weigh 150-200g per serve when needed. Add a scoop of your chosen flavour protein with a little almond milk. It builds in volume when you blend.
Once it’s come together, tip into your favourite bowl, smooth & top with your favourite fruits, grains or in my case - granola. Easy to count & calculate into My Fitness Pal & avoid eating a tub of ice cream. -

Life can get us down, kick us in our private parts and we can talk so negatively to ourselves about ourselves. Sometimes you’ve got to be your own hero and big yourself up. If we said the things that we say to ourselves to our friends, I don’t think we’d have many friends left. So I’m going to try and be kinder to myself and tell myself I’m badass (because why not), do the same and see how you feel! We’ve got this 👑 🌟 Don’t be an arrogant arsehole though 😂🙈

SLEEP: Yesss to this Irish Proverb!⠀
Having no sleep in the first two weeks of parenthood distressed me so much! Anyone who knows me well knows that I’m snappy without sleep! So I had to rectify the non sleeping really quickly...Naps are now my best friend even getting down for 20 minutes helps me go about the rest of my day! I find if I put on a meditation before I lie down it helps refresh me. I use and app called insight timer. ⠀

Elessandra must of sensed that mummy doesn’t do will with no sleep and has been sleeping for between 4-6 hours a night for around a week now! We have been focused on teaching her the difference between night and day, which seems to be working! ⠀
She’s 5 weeks old now and it feels like we’ve been in a little bubble for that time! I used to jump out of bed for work sometimes wishing I didn’t have to go! Now I jump out of bed wondering what this new day is going to bring, with a smile.⠀
I’m grateful for every new day with her. ⠀
As sleep helps with growth, inflammation and the healing process we’re going back to sleep now that baby girl has had her morning feed. ⠀
