I haven’t posted to much “fitness” stuff or been on IG as I usually am. Aside from work, blue line and new side projects this prep has been kicking my ass.
Fitness, the gym and training for the better part of 16 years has been my saving grace. My time to decompress and focus on me. A lot of social shows the 6 packs and “hustle” now, “buy” this, work work work. While putting in the work is important it is draining.
Lately I dread going to the gym, and training. The side no one talks about is what you go through mentally prepping for a show and how it’s not at all physical. It’s mental, all mental. Living in a constant state of not wanting to train, constant state of hunger and irritability, and this list goes on.
Discipline, habits and my lifestyle have carried be through the day to day rituals and things I dread. I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss the occasional drive thru stop, eating out with friends or my sweets.
In cutting some summer weight or new goals and PRs I trusted the process but was very much in my comfort zone. Pushing for bigger goals it brings a whole new meaning to trusting the process.
This could be the goal of cutting 10lbs or maybe that huge transformation of 100lbs +. Whatever it is what has helped me it making time for the people in your life that matter most, taking it one day at a time and small goals within each day to stay in track and focused.

Had to throw it back real quick to look for the motivation to get back to the grind. Doing things a bit differently this time around. A little update: Currently sitting at 126.4 post refeed and about 12 weeks out. Definitely stressed about not being ready but I’m trusting the process. Changes take time. I’ve definitely leaned down a lot since the end of December (can my glutes please get the memo LOL). Also, my face will never be cute in the morning. We accept that. #bairaesthetics

As you all know, I give my glutes their own special days of training 🙌🏼 where I only perform isolation and activation exercises 🔥. What I also want you to know and DO is include a few glute killer exercises into your leg day! These are fantastic!👇🏼
Video 1- Side Lying Leg Press
Turn onto your side and press hard through working legs heel. My foot is also placed fairly high on the leg press.💦
Video 2- Iso Banded Hip Abductions
Gaaah! 😫 Don’t remove the plate(s) and hold at almost the bottom of the press while abducting your knees 💥🔥. Make sure your are not rolling onto the outside of your feet when abducting.
Video 3- Banded Abductions
I am banded above the knee but also try placing the band below as well 👌🏻. Perform this exercise immediately after the previous exercise (SS). Your medius muscle should be giving you helllll after performing this SS. 🥵
Video 4- Cable Lateral Lunge
Obsessed!! 😈🍑 I am holding two handle attachments in a goblet hold. As I lunge, I am focusing on keeping my hip and knee in alignment. Try not allowing your knee to travel further than the side of your glutes (so hard 😓).

Spinach and Cheese Stuffed Mushroom
Despite looking like a bar snack, these stuffed mushrooms are 100 percent good-for-you. Each mushroom is filled with a mixture of finely chopped mushrooms, onion, and creamy ricotta, and topped with a sprinkling of mozzarella that bakes to a beautiful golden brown. Garlic and crushed red pepper amp up the flavor. It’s hard to believe each one has only 25 calories.
Total Time: 47 min.
Prep Time: 15 min.
Cooking Time: 32 min.
Yield: 12 servings, 2 mushrooms each
2 tsp. olive oil
24 large mushrooms, cleaned, stems removed and finely chopped
½ medium onion, finely chopped
3 cups raw baby spinach
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 dash crushed red pepper
½ tsp. finely chopped fresh rosemary
Sea salt (or Himalayan salt) and ground black pepper (to taste; optional)
½ cup part-skim ricotta cheese
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Add mushroom stems, onion, and spinach; cook, stirring frequently, for 5 to 6 minutes until tender.
4. Add garlic, red pepper, and rosemary. Season with salt and pepper (if desired); cook, stirring frequently, for 1 minute.
5. Add ricotta cheese; mix well.
6. Evenly fill mushrooms with spinach mixture.
7. Place mushrooms on a large baking sheet. Evenly top with mozzarella cheese. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until bubbly.
