As well as the sugar alcohols listed in their own category. (All the subheadings ending in “-ol.”) . . These labels are manipulated to make the carbohydrate count look lower for marketing purposes. They still meet the Australian labelling standard however if you are to be accurate with your daily totals you would need to account for these extra carbs. . . This is not uncommon so ensure you educate yourself on what it is you’re actually consuming. 👍

I think I spoke this session into existence 😂 (see my story). : Overall, a trash session. Deadlifts felt like trash and my execution on bench was all over the place. In particular, these two sets were straight 💩 - DL: 495x2 (supposed to be 4), BP: 255x3 @ RPE 10. : Luckily, if you zoom out a bit, these two sets represent a very small piece of my training. : These sets on Deadlifts and Bench represent 2.1% and 1.01% of my total working reps for my current 4 week block. Assuming I’ll run approximately 12 4-week blocks over the course of this year and that all blocks will have similar amounts of working sets, these sets represent about 0.17% and 0.08% of my total working sets for the year. : Without dragging this narrative out too much - don’t stress about the occasional rep that is missed or executed poorly. : If a shit day occurs once every block or so and all other signs point towards progress, then don’t stress it. Now if these days are occurring regularly, you may want to re-assess programming. If you don’t know how to truly assess what you’re doing, hire a coach. My recommendation for most is to think less and lift more. Wow, it’s been FOREVER since I posted. A little life/training update, I’ve basically taken the last 9 months off of “powerlifting” specific training, which has had its pros and cons. I really focused on hypertrophy and I feel amazing. With that being said, I started training for strength again last week (done with week 2 today) and it’s been going amazing! I feel great, mentally and physically. I also started tracking my macros again and it’s been great! I hope everyone has a great weekend! 🤙🏼

Update: On my way to Alberta for a wedding, But crushed chest and core earlier and it went pretty amazing. I've been focusing on pause reps with most of my movements. It reinforces your sticking point and fully recruits every available muscle fibre for destruction. I never used pause reps before mainly because I didn't want to drop the weight due to my Ego.
