💩6 Shades of Poop💩🙊 The color of your #poop
is important as it is an indicator of your health so take the time to look at it daily. If you are not having at least one bowel movement a day then fiber and water intake is likely too low in your diet. At least 8-10 glasses of pure water a day is necessary so food and fiber can move through the intestines otherwise it can dry up and cause #constipation
. We each need a daily variety of soluble and insoluble fiber from whole organic veggies, fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts and fiber-rich seeds such as #chia
and ground #psyllium
husk. 35-50 grams of #fiber
is necessary for optimal bowel health and regular daily bowel movements. Brown bowel movements are normal.💩 Green poop can indicate faster transit or a diet rich in greens.🌱Spirulina and chlorella are rich in chlorophyll so can make poop very green. If you eat beets or lots of tomatoes, poop will look bright fuchsia red however if bright red blood is found then it could indicate a bleeding #hemorrhoid
or fistula..or cancer so a visit to your doctor is highly recommended. Whitish or clay-colored poop can be from some medications or a biliary issue that requires a doctor visit. Black poop can be caused by iron and certain meds or it can mean a bleeding #ulcer
or cancer (another reason to see a doctor). Yellow greasy poop can indicate #liver
issues along with #celiac
disease and other malabsorption issues.
Undigested food in feces is also a sign of malabsorption problems and may indicate leaky gut or food is not being chewed properly before swallowing. Food requires around 40 or more chews to mix with the digestive enzyme amylase which is excreted in saliva and travels into the stomach with each swallow. Supplemental Digestive enzymes with protease, lipase, amylase and cellulase assist the pancreas tremendously so it doesn't have to work so hard releasing an over abundance of digestive enzymes. A little ACV in water helps too.
