When your houseplants tell you they’re happy #flower #peacelilly
Peacelillies were one of my first plants as a #plantmum
They almost speak to you, can’t go wrong, they droop when they are thirsty and flower when they are really happy 😊 they also help to take toxins out of the air and are proven to boost mental health. With all those benefits how can you say no?? #houseplants #indoorplants #plantsmakeyouhappy
Ms Max and Mort has a magical green thumb and grows healthy green plants that grow and grow and grow 🌿☘️🍀🌱🍃 She’s also a kokedama ‘specialist’ and has plenty of these Stromanthe tricolour kokedamas in store. So come have a look see 👀 🌱

One of my favourite paces to shop in Chester is søstrene grene. It opened last year in the city centre. A Danish brand, its focus is on interior décor, stationery and gifts. They also stock larger furniture such as side tables, chairs and shelving. It's almost like IKEA, H&M HOME and TIGER had a baby, though there's asthetics are completely there own. Dusty pink and green velvet dining chairs. Soft muted palette throughout there whole collections. I picked up my office wall shelf from them. Also I'm slightly addicted to there stationery, and storage boxes!
They do have a website (thought a little difficult to navigate) but the whole shop is a mood, something that you definitely need to experience if in Chester.
Those sea urchin things are also #søstrenegrene
Do you believe in diets?🤔 I always get people asking to fit strange dietary requests. Though I understand the power of meeting goals and being healthy, I have found that food is a lifestyle and is much more enjoyable when it’s not ruled by numbers, but by how the food tastes and makes you feel.
There’s so much confusion about food and diet. Research shows that a plant-based lifestyle will help you have a better life, including better sex, and that’s just one of the many benefits. Trust me, I know! 😉 So, don’t just change your diet, change your lifestyle and enjoy the benefits! Your plate should always be full of plants and colors, and if that’s not the case, let me know and I can help you make the transition. 🤗
Oh, and that’s a pic of our Mediterranean bowl with kale, quinoa, lentils, hummus and roasted veggies. It is freaking delicious! 😋 .

Trying to visualize a white tulip table and wicker chairs in this space. Can't wait for the living room the be underway then we can tweak a few things in here. My poor attempt at skirting for one. And a fireplace that I've never turned on, Will be going. Would really like some bright fun tiles to contrast against the white walls.
Im currently reading 13 Things Mentally Strong People Don’t Do and I’m loving it. .
I am learning so much about myself, others and how to deal with stressful situations.
Chapter 10 focuses on how mentally strong people don’t give up after failing.
Are you guilty of this? .
It reminded me of the frustration I get when new plants don’t survive/ or thrive in my care. Every time I loose a plant, instead of giving up or thinking “I’ll avoid that plant in the future” I start doing research. Usually starting with where did I go wrong in the first place, to avoid the same mistake in the future. . .
🌿Plants can be easy or tricky depending on the species, learning about each one is always a journey thats end with a healthier happy plant.🌿Just like this Pothos clipping I took in the fall, despite changes in air temperatures, daylight hours and a few delayed waterings (opps human) it still keeps growing like the strong powerful plant it is. - Check my post from October to see its growth🙂
Are you even home, if u walk through the door and don't see dog shaped vase?! This vessel speaks to me on many levels, so much so, that when I saw it sat there on the shelf, by itself. I let out a little gasp. And placed it under my arm before anyone else in the EMPTY store could grapple it from me.
*current situation* wishing these where "before" and "after" shots. But the "after" doesn't exist yet! Think I've helped B&Q meet there sugar soap quota for the month....
Having your 'bits' on view.
I have always found great comfort in displaying my most treasured belongings. I'm pretty sure I got it from my grandparents. They where avid collectors of antiques, and with each addition they where thoughtfully place around the home to enjoy.
I move around quite a bit in my late teens. And not having a family home or a childhood bedroom, That could hold my memories both physically and emotionally, was difficult. Wherever I was, having these 'things' in view helped me install a sense of place, belonging and identity. I have things dotted all around the house. Each holding connotation to someone or someplace. For instance I love houseplants! And part of that appreciation for them comes from my step-dad, who also use to keep plants by all the windows. And my Afghan figurine reminds me of the Great Dane figurine my Grandma kept on her mantelpiece.
Do you have your 'bits' on view? 😉
