Did you know that Pittsburgh is known as the city of bridges? In 2018 there were a total of 446 bridges in the Steel City.
Are facial oils right for you?
Facial oils are right for you if you struggle with occasional (think seasonal or climate-related dryness) or persistent dry, flaky or dehydrated skin and your moisturizer just isn't doing enough. Rather than continually searching for a new moisturizer, you can easily add a facial oil to your routine and see a huge difference. Your skin will feel smoother, softer, and more resilient. Facial oil adds extra nourishment and helps seal in moisture. Every skin type can benefit from using a facial oil, even oily/ acne prone skin types. Breakouts can happen due to overactive oil glands and acne is your skin’s way of telling you that your oil to water ratio is off balance. One of my favorite facial oils is Josie Maran’s 100% Pure Argan Oil Light. It is hydrating, balancing, repairing, and has replenishing benefits. The best part is that it absorbs into the skin fast and leaves a semi-matte finish. ♡
Restarting. I posted before about journaling and I got in a really great rhythm but the holidays hit then everyone got sick and I pushed it aside. I could feel a difference in my brain feel cluttered. So last night I saw @juleshough
post about morning journal for 10 days. So here I am restarting again. After watching her short video about The Artist Way and how it helped unlock her creativity one phrase really struck me.” Connect with a part of myself that was dormant”🤯 I have had this feeling for a while that I can be more creative but I felt like I lost that part of myself along the way. Excited to see how my journaling and creativity develops over the next 10 days. Check out her website to sign up! I would love to hear from you if you journal and how it has helped you !
Not a barbell in sight...🚣🏻♂️
Workout of the Day consisted of the @assaultairbike
As coaches, it is easy to write-off these types of workouts and become a cheerleader rather than a trainer.
Today, we spent approximately 10 minutes breaking down the stroke. Specifically, we discussed the timing and rhythm of the stroke.
The stoke consists of a “Drive” and “Recovery.” There should be approximately a 1:2 Drive-to-Recovery ratio (i.e. the drive is twice as fast as the recovery). Teaching this principle helps athletes to understand a few things:
1️⃣ Proper technique
3️⃣ How Strokes per Minute impact split times and power output

It’s quantum mechanics at work
It’s another mind-bending concept, but one that also applies to business
As a leader, I can only focus on a few things at a time
I have to trust my team & the @qonsultagency
organization as a whole to hum along with my direct interaction
I’ve found It’s impossible for a leader to observe or engage a process without somehow exerting influence
Being mindful of the fact your engagement will inevitably impact the process of your observing can help you counteract some of the effects
Always take things with a grain of salt, and try your best to get to the root of the issue
