The fitness space is more crowded than ever. It’s noisy and those with the loudest voices tend to get heard. Those with the loudest voices proclaim their expertise but are often times misled and overconfident. Instagram has done incredible things for fitness. It’s created a way for us to expose ourselves and better monetize our businesses. However, it’s given rise to a monkey see, monkey do culture. Those with no expertise copy the same exercises, have exactly the same posts and push the same products as their Instagram fitness heroes. These heroes are often just loud voices with great bodies, that are just as misled. While I applauded their want to help others through fitness, I have to caution them. Misapplied exercise, supplementation and diet can lead to real health issues and I’ve seen in hundreds of times. It’s important as a consumer in this space to be discerning by educating yourself and seeking out those with the educational backgrounds and applicable practice. A entrada de aminoácidos da circulação sanguínea no músculo diminui também durante o treino de força intenso, pelo que a quantidade de proteínas degradadas excede o número de proteínas novamente sintetizadas. Este fator conduz a uma diminuição das quantidades de proteínas musculares após uma sessão de treino de força e a um aumento da sua síntese no intervalo entre sessões de treino, bem como uma entrada de aminoácidos no musculo superior a que acontece normalmente em repouso. . . . A repetição deste processo de aumento da degradação e da síntese de proteínas musculares parece resultar num fenómeno de supercompensação das proteínas, semelhante ao que ocorre com o glicogénio muscular com o glicogénio muscular em reposta ao treino de resistência. I came upon a realization that many women, myself included, (and men) spend years dissatisfied with the way they look. Even when I didn’t work out and ate whatever I wanted, I always picked at myself. Life goes by, we keep working on ourselves, tweaking, changing and critiquing. We don’t wear those shorts because of cellulite or because of small calves, we don’t wear that crop top because we are 15% body fat instead of 10% (for example). But when does this ‘happy place’ or a sense of satisfaction occur? Does it ever? Maybe it’s not the body, it’s the mind that needs work? Yes, without criticism, we wouldn’t have the push. But you know we get pushed with love just as much? Life goes by, we lose years by being shy or unhappy, we turn down opportunities, we wait for that happy perfection. But what if it will never occur? Will we spend our lives waiting and dissatisfied? My point is, enjoy the moment, because they are short. Stay positive and be happy with yourself the way you are!
