Motor was almost 3 months old when we got him. He used to live on the street and was thin and frail. His fur, even though soft, lacked lustre. Being a little kitten, he was new to almost everything! When we adopted him, he would not stop purring for hours (In his sleep, when we picked him up, when he roamed around the house or just sat in one place). He tried to absorb the essence of his new surroundings, his home.
Today, after 3 months, he has gotten used to his home, he eats well, sleeps well, his fur coat shows how healthy he is, he makes regular visits to the vet, takes his shots on time, gets dewormed on time and basically rules the house. He is loved beyond measure.
At the beginning of the year, one of my friends asked me what was the one thing that you did in 2018 that changed you? 2018 was a challenging year for me. A lot of ups and downs, a lot of good times and bad. A lot of new experiences. But nothing changed me more than bringing Motor home. It is, in a sense, inexplicable. Believe me, I have tried.
Next time you want to get a pet, please adopt a stray animal, get it the right treatment and give it the same love. You will end up experiencing a completely different bond with it as compared to a pet that you would probably buy at a pet store.
