getting my steps in these next few days
Finding the right light for paintings with gold and or reflective paint can be a challenge to capture. The natural light coming in is perfect right now. Must be all the sun and wind today in Portland:) “Summer Storm”

Some sparkle for your afternoon. Purchased these crystal clusters yesterday and this morning (with one of my late grandfather's tools) I broke them into the correct size for the artwork they will become. Using a screwdriver he held as part of my artistic investigations makes me feel he is not lost. My mom has a thermos of her father's I know she holds dear to her. Save those family treasures for yourself. It seems the banal every day items are the best ones to have.

new myke bogan on the way soon | cover art by me
Cropped out the bottom because I got sloppy and touched it with my greasy pizza fingers. And no, I won't be selling this one 😜
I drew this back in February for @washburncandace
and couldn’t love it more. These two have been such good friends to me over the last 7+ years and I was lucky enough to be asked to officiate their wedding yesterday. Thanks for being the wonderful people that you both are. #candacegetsowened

I usually finish drawings relatively quickly, but I started this one a couple years ago and have allowed my self to work on it little by little whenever inspiration struck. Some days I empathized more with the rabbit, some days the owl, and that dictated which part I worked on. Hope you guys enjoy it! #coloredpencil #prismacolor #oilpastel #predator #prey #owl #pdxart #illustration
For the past few months I’ve stepped into a new world of making sounds and music through clay. It has been quite a challenging but exciting step into a new realm of what can be done with clay! These are ancient Aztec instruments called Ehecatls after the Aztec God of Wind, and more commonly known as death whistles. In Aztec mythology Ehecatl moved the sun and pushed the wind 🌞 When playing them, they bring the sounds of wind, and sometimes at the right pitch the sound of screaming. Super stoked to turn mud into music 🎼
I’m goin to Canadaaaaa in June for what’s bound to be an amazing experience @the.ou.telier

I was asked a few months ago by the best of friends to do a mural in their babies room. I was so honored to have been asked to do it. It took longer than expected but it’s finally finished. I haven’t done anything like this before and haven’t finished a creative project in such a long time. I think it turned out more amazing than I had imagined it would. I hope you enjoy it for many years and I would gladly do it again. I love you both @cosmicseaturtle @kccrumpy
