At this point, this photo has pretty much gone viral. To the point where I’ve actually seen other women claiming it is their own photo. No, I’m serious. One women actually claimed an MLM company she obviously sells for is the reason she lost 150pounds and that this was the end result. If you ask me it’s not much of an ‘after’ photo considering the board is in the way, but anything to make a quick buck out of vulnerable women right?
The entire point of this photo is to raise awareness for a condition not even Drs understand. To show that there is so much more to it then the name alone suggests. The last thing I wanted was for it to be used to prey on women that are continuously told by their Drs to ‘just lose weight’. I never thought it would blow up the way it has, I’m literally seeing it everywhere now which is amazing. But it not cool to steal photos and claim they are something they’re not. #pcos #pcosawarenessmonth
So many thoughts come flooding through my mind as I was cooking this meal for our sweet elderly neighbors 💭 It’s been difficult to get back into our normal routine since we’ve been back from Georgia 😐 So, instead of thinking of all the 👎🏻👎🏻 things we’ve got going on + coming up, I’m trying to see the best of things...
✨Thankful for the many, many years that we had with our original fur baby. She came to us through hurricane circumstances + left us through hurricane circumstances. She definitely has seen us through the best of times + through some really hard times + my husband + I swear she was a million times more difficult to care for as a puppy than both our children combined 🐶
✨Thankful for the bunnies that we still get to see hopping around our backyard, especially since our dog loved them so much 🐰
✨Thankful for the time, means, + ability to bless our neighbors with a meal every other weekend. The sweet old man cares so deeply for his wife suffering with late stage Alzheimer’s + the love they display is such a powerful witness to us 👴🏻👵🏻
✨Thankful for my husband’s job + the stability that he has with his career + that he works so hard to provide for us. The fall + winter months are terribly long for him (+ me!), but he loves what he does + is making a positive impact on the lives of so many 🌟
✨Thankful for the two little ones that God has blessed us so tremendously with. Way too many times I get hung up on the fact that we really do want more children (always wanted a minimum of 4) + that can take away meaningful times with the children we have. Words just cannot describe how thankful + grateful + loved our babies are 💙💖
✨Thankful that we live where we live. Nothing could be finer... 💙
✨Thankful for our church + small group through our church. We are still trying to figure out our place there + thankful for the grace + love that is constantly shown to us from our church family ⛪

One of the greatest barriers to weight loss is SHAME. Shame for how 'big' your body looks, shame for how 'undisciplined' you must be, shame for being lazy or greedy or unattractive. 💢 Shame cripples our ability to make positive moves for our health because it obliterates our belief in ourselves. If we don't believe we are worth caring for we simply won't. 💢 Some might think that it is hypocritical to promote weight loss but in the same breath promote self love and acceptance. These are two big parts of my work and I believe it is important for clients to understand the intention behind my work so as to understand exactly what it is that they will get when they work with me. 💢 I DO help women lose weight IF it is important for their health and wellbeing to do so. AND I don't believe you can lose weight long term WITHOUT self love and acceptance and a belief that you are worth the effort. Make a list. Who do YOU want to BE? Who says you can’t be her? Begin becoming that person NOW. Make non-negotiables with yourself (you already naturally do this but be INTENTIONAL in this area of your life). 📝
I’d love to know who you want to BE. Realize you are AREADY her - you just have to tap into her. 🙌🏻

I’ve never been a runner, nor have I ever really enjoyed running. I was always the last one to finish our fitness standards tests (1 mile run) every single year in school. When I started Beachbody workouts over a year and a half ago, I’d add running in here and there. It’d take me 45 minutes or more to run a 5k.
This week was the last week of the new @LIIFT4
program which is a combination of weightlifting and HIIT. It’s is an 8 week program consisting of 4 workouts per week, for 30-40 minutes each, with 3 rest days incorporated. I set a goal to run a 5k (3.1 miles) at least once a week on one of the rest days because I knew it’d be an additional mental and physical challenge that would take me out of my comfort zone. I actually started this during the B4 LIIFT4 workouts that were released to prepare for the program.
Yesterday I worked at the fire department for 8.5 hours and then went straight to my second job as a police officer for 10 hours. Needless to say, I did NOT want to workout today. But I had ONE 5k left since this was Week 8 of LIIFT4. You guys... I set a personal record and ran 3.5 miles in under 30 minutes. For the first time EVER. 🙌🏻
So damn proud of myself!! I set a goal. Didn’t miss a single workout in LIIFT4 or a single 5k. I showed up for myself and CRUSHED said goal! Over the last 8 weeks, I completed 32 workouts from the program and ran over 40 miles! Progress, not perfection! ✌🏻
