"Try your luck, friend?" Today's BTAS shot is from the episode "Jokers Wild" it was the 41st produced and 42nd to air. We start off with Joker watching TV with Ivy in Arkham, on the tv there's an unveiling for a new casino, called "Jokers Wild" and the decorations all resemble Joker himself. In fact even the workers are dressed as either Mr. J or Harley! Jokers furious that the owner of the casino, Cameron Kaiser, would try to make money off of his image. So the Joker breaks out intent on ruining the opening. Bruce decides to stay at the casino and look into why Kaiser would purposely open a place like this. He comes to find Kaiser bankrupted himself and is in massive debt trying to build the casino and that originally it was going to be a Camelot theme. Kaiser took an insurance policy out, and changed the theme hoping that the Joker would wreck the place and he'd get his money. It's a very entertaining episode with a great story (written by the great Paul Dini) and one of my favorite moments is when Bruce is out of costume and has a conversation with the Joker while playing blackjack. Remember to enjoy the day!
"You are a fool, Mockridge, to think you can get away with this. Your amoral greed is no match for an intellect like mine!" Today's BTAS shot is from the episode titled, "If You're So Smart, Why Aren't You Rich?" It is the 40th produced and 41st to air. We start by seeing Edward Nygma, a brilliant video game concept designer, puzzle creator, and crossword enthusiast. At the beginning of the episode he arrives at what used to be his desk, then he sees his boss, Daniel Mockridge. Fitting name for someone who fired their best employee then taunts him as he leaves saying "If you're so smart, why aren't you rich?" You can basically say that was the straw that broke the camel's back. From then on Riddler is born and he is going to make Mockridge's life a puzzling hell.
Gordon- "I'm getting too old for this sort of stuff." Barbara- "I sort of enjoyed it." Today's BTAS episode is titled "Heart of Steel" part 1 and 2, they are the 38/39th produced and 39/40th to air. The episode starts with us seeing Wayne Enterprises shut down for the night when all of a sudden a briefcase with metal legs and mechanical eye start going through Wayne's computers obtaining information. The guards are no match but Batman shows up. We quickly see he's no match either as the robot gets away with the information and sends it in the form of a rocket to a woman on the beach. Batman is in his glider now, following the car she got into, but he's shot down. We later find out the robot stole "wetware" which are computer chips allowing machines to think on their own. Bruce knows the only man who could build things like that is Karl Rossum. Bruce goes to pay him a visit, but he swears he knows nothing about it. Then, he shows Bruce his newest and best invention: H.A.R.D.A.C. (Holographic Analytical Reciprocating DigitAl Computer), true artificial intelligence. Right then Rossum's assistant, Randa Duane, comes out. She looks kinda familiar, and shakes Bruce's hand, he notices it's cold as ice but she says she was in the cold room. Bruce takes her out on a date to get information out of her but while he does H.A.R.D.A.C. starts replacing people with robots, starting with Jim Gordon! Randa also bugs the batcave discovering Bruce Wayne's identity. Part 2 starts with Bruce having to shut down the caves defense system on him. He then goes back to Rossums and helps Barbara Gordon save her dad, and shut down/destroy fake Gordon and H.A.R.D.A.C. as well as leave before the place explodes. It's an awesome 2 parter and also the first time we see Barbara Gordon pre Batgirl.
Today's BTAS shot is from the episode titled "Cat Scratch Fever" it's the 36th produced and 33rd to air. The episode starts with us seeing Selina Kyle standing trial for crimes she committed as Catwoman. The judge let's her go if she promises to never wear the Catwoman suit again and she agrees. Catwoman puts on the costume and tracks these people down, learning they work for Daggett. Daggett hired Dr. Milo to create a disease to inject stray animals with so they are more aggressive, bite people and give them the disease, which only his company will have a cure for, making him good money. Will Batman and Catwoman be able to stop Daggett and Dr. Milo in time? That's for you to discover! Happy Friday!
Was talking to a friend in work earlier about Harley Quinn. Her fav appearence/outfit was original. Never liked that look. Much prefer the punkish style from the Arkham verse and Injustice 2 but not . However, 2 has so much customization. I dont even think ive unlocked em all. Need to get back to it at some point. I like margot robbie as harley just not the outfit #harleyquinn #dc #arkhamverse #pauldini #batman #injustice #margotrobbie #suicidesquad
"So, the famous Batman, I am honored!" Today's BTAS episode is titled "Night of the Ninja" it was 35th produced and 28th to make air. Wayne Entriprises has been a major target of thefts all the sudden, being attacked often and Batman decides he's going to find out who's helping themselves. He comes to find a Ninja, that he takes on and is beating until he fights dirty, Batman is almost taken out until Robin saves him. During the fight the Ninja suffered a tear in the back of his shirt and Bruce clearly sees the tattoo of his rival from when he trained in Japan. His name is Kyodai Ken, he was superior to Bruce back then and regularly beat him in sparring matches. One night while training late Bruce caught Kyodai trying to steal from the sensai, this caused Kyodai great shame and he was kicked out, he vowed vengeance on Bruce...and all these years later he is getting it. Kyodai kidnaps Bruce and Summer Gleeson spelling out his plan. He fights Bruce but Bruce holds back in front of Summer, taking a major beating to hide the fact he's Batman. Robin shows up, covers Gleeson's face and Bruce proceeds to completely dominate Kyodai. Kyodai manages to get away, and we will see him again later. This is a great episode because it showed us Bruce's training long before Batman Begins did the same and it's always fun seeing that aspect of the Batman.
