What a way to celebrate another wonderful year together! Thanks for braving the literal freezing cold to join me for this amazing hike. This weekend was equal parts adventure and relaxation, and I couldn’t hope for anyone better to share it with! 💚⛰🥾 #3yearsdown #somanymoretocome
I'm still just completely mind blown by this place. There may have been gale force winds up top, but man was it worth it for those fresh knee deep turns! So lucky to spend a few days in the mountains skiing and celebrating with some of my favorite people. HBD @rosiefee
! Thanks for planning another epic adventure. @silvertonmtn
The perfect blue bird day with untouched silky smooth powder. This is what dreams are made of!
Spotted an Osprey today, AKA a #Seahawk
for you NFL fans.
This rucksack I fell on love with it was filled with stuffing and other stuff so it resembled a full pack and when on and tightened up I didn’t feel like I had anything on my bag. It comes with a hefty price tag but it worth it for the features. I loved I could hang my walking poles on to it and they would be secure and I would have my hands free the top part comes off and can used separately. It is hydration bladder compatible, lots of pockets and access to the main compartment it is breathable and padded all around and the backseat adjustable. So it’s been added to the wish list #rucksack #ospreypacks #ospreyariel65
Parce que demain est ma dernière journée d'hiver. Bon pelletage à tous 😄
Feel your heart beat... It lets you know you’re alive!
-After being sick in the most unpleasant way for a few days @bc.west
and I decided on an impromptu evening hike over a saddle to get to a river we wanted to fish... Needless to say, my body hated me, and it truly sucked.... haha But wouldn’t have it any other way!

"Most people don't know that ultralight backpackers — like thru-hikers — often use custom backpacks or ones made by smaller brands you can't find in gear shops. For mainstream pack makers, the term "ultralight" has mostly been marketing spin. @ospreypacks
is dismantling that notion with the Levity & Lumina, which weighs a mere 860 grams (60L capacity, size medium, Levity) and doesn't cut corners on bells and whistles. Ultralight gear just became more readily available." Gear Patrol
I remember when i first found out about hiking the 46 Adirondack high peaks. I had just hiked poko for the first time and was looking online for more hiking trails in the area. “Become a 46r” was one of the headlines that popped up and I clicked on it. It opened my eyes to a whole new world. I didn’t know anyone else interested in becoming a 46r so I used to beg my friends back then to join me and sometimes I got them to. Before there were hiking groups on Facebook it was really hard to find anyone that wanted to go spend hours in the woods. The thought of hiking one or two high peaks in a day; those people are crazy! I can’t even hike one high peak without dying how am I going to hike two?! Then i found out about the great range Traverse as a day trip and then i thought those people were insane. It was even hard to imagine trips like Marcy, Dix, and Allen as day trips and I never thought I’d become a 46r. Then I did it! After many hard fought battles, turn arounds, personal issues, and finding my bestest hiking pal... we became 46rs together! Now what?! I attempted the GRT solo and I did it! Now what?! The Adk grid! The first thoughts of that were hilarious! You want me to hike 552 high peaks (which in the long run is way more cause of monthly repeats) in my lifetime?! That’s insane... well now here i sit with 313 peaks towards my grid and 383 peaks overall... Obsesssed much? Probably; but I enjoy every single minute of it and all the people that hiking has brought into my life!

This kid, snacks, water, and the pack add up to about 45lbs and I love every ounce of it! #ospreypacks
One of our favorite things to do is hike Brand. Shit hike, but a heater of a workout with this guy, and he loves being carried up the steep hills for some reason. #ospreypacks
Today we finally got the carrier back out. With the wet weather, Christmas, Emma's birthday and me just being a bit lazy we haven't been out walking much, which is a shame as we enjoy it so much. So today marks the day I start to get my butt in gear and get out walking more (especially as we have a walking holiday in march 😱). I managed to find our carrier in the sale as it's quite pricey but I absolutely love it, it's so comfortable for me and comfy for James too which is great as I'm really short and James is tall. As you can see from the photo Emma is happy having a long snooze in there too 💤💤💤 She slept for a good 2 hours before waking to greet everyone we passed with a "hiya" 🤣😀 It's definitely worth trying a few of these out with baby before spending money on them, I would have got one that wasn't anywhere near as comfortable if we hadn't.
I’m really pushing it with this child carrier. Technically, she’s too big to still be carried around in this thing but I just can’t let go yet. Savannah loves to walk and explore, but we also love to be able to cover lots of distance on our hikes. She enjoys relaxing and observing her surroundings while be carried by Mama. I say it a lot, but I’m really going to miss these days. New types of adventures are to come, I know. We all grow and change...but sometimes embracing that change and letting go can be really really difficult.
Always pushing for more, never settling for anything but the best. Your willingness to strive for greatest in everything you do is something I’ve always looked up to. You’re a huge inspiration to me and I can’t wait to see where life takes us. Happy birthday big bro.
FEAR. It stops us from so many things. Whenever I come across this picture, I'm reminded the feeling that was coursing through me. I was a bit scared, (the background gives an idea of the height we were at) but I was proud. It took "trying" to put myself in that situation. To work past all of the reasons why I couldn't (the list was short). In fact, there was only one can't... and it was fear of trying.
I have set a lot of goals for 2019, and they all start with, "Why did I wait for so long?"
