Sugar has always been the dreaded ingredient for anyone who has been on the path of living a healthy lifestyle.
It cannot avoided however we can use a healthy alternative for sweetening our day to day preparations. In this search we found this gem called @sugarliteindia
We have been using it since a few weeks replacing our ordinary sugar with this.
It's a revolutionary product which is a combination of sugar and stevia in the ratio for 50/50. So it's a better and a healthier version than our regular sugar.
Also the amount required is half that of our regular sugar and the taste remains the same.
We have made various food items with @sugarliteindia
out of which I simply loved how these multigrain ladoos turned out. Thus sharing the recipe with you all.
Multigrain ladoos recipe
Thinai/Foxtail millet/ Kangni– 3 tbsp
Kambu/Pearl millet/Bajra – 3 tbsp
Ragi/Finger millet/Nachani – 3 tbsp
Varagu/Kodo millet – 3 tbsp
Saamai/Little millet/sama – 3 tbsp
Moong dal /green gram – 2 tbsp
Pottukadalai /channa dal /bengal gram- 3 tbsp
Peanuts - 2 tbsp
Aval/Flattened rice - 3 tbsp
Sweetning agent – 1/4 cup sugarlite
Cardamom – 4 crushed
Melted Ghee – 1/4 cup (adjust according to quantity used)
Crushed coconut - 2 tbsp (optional)
Dried nuts - 2 tbsp (optional)
Procedure to make Multi Grain Ladoo
Take a wide sauce pan and add fox tail millet, pearl millet, finger millet, kodo millet, little millet, chana dal, moong dal, aval, peanuts, coconut and nuts. Dry roast these until fragrant.
Remove onto a plate and leave these to cool completely. Upon cooling grind to fine powder and put this into a bowl and add sugarlite and cardamom powder.
Melt the ghee and set aside to cool lightly. Slowly pour in warm melted ghee and knead lightly. When the mixture is cool enough to handle, shape them into ladoos.
You can store them in air tight container.
Above measurements makes 12-15 ladoos number may vary depending on their sizes.
The above recipe can be devoured by adults as well as children above one year of age.
