Oregon to Michigan was a haul, but we’re rested and ready to get to our next destination.
Road trips and changing scenery give you a lot of time for thinking, which we have a massive need for in our line of work. Pondering the mystery and majesty of sexuality, identity and family has left us wanting more time to think, consider and press into the Lord.
One characteristic of God we’ve come to know in an increasingly prevalent way is His unchangeability. In contrast to the road we drive on, God, and subsequently His truth, never change. Fitting in His family, His truth and finding identity in Him is uncomfortable, but it’s better - in so many ways - than asking an unchanging God to change who He is for our comfort.
