Friends, I come across people all of the time that expect that after one solid week of clean eating and working out an expectation of MAJOR results. Here’s the reality. If it took you time to put on weight it WILL take time to take it off. Consistency and hard work OVER TIME is what will get you to your goal. You didn’t gain 20 lbs in two weeks-- so don’t believe the idea that it will all fall off in an unrealistic amount of time. Favorite stretches part 2 🙌🏼🎁 my gift to you all! Basic stretches but I see people do these with improper form all the time, & the balance is a serious issue for all ages! I cringe when people tell me they have awful balance— of course you do if you avoid it like the plague!! It takes practice and consistency— balance is really just about awakening and connecting to intricate muscles and your body system as a whole. You want to keep your brain communicating with your muscular/nervous system every day, and that’s not something that you either have or you don’t— it’s something you practice or you don’t. Even in the dizziness of Lyme, I had better balance than most people I work with, and that’s just sad! I promise, if you practice balance 5 minutes a day AND do your footwork exercises (scroll my posts for the video of just my feet)- you will improve your balance drastically! I’ve said it before, balance is the KEY to aging gracefully, because all it takes is one good fall, one hip fracture to age you a decade or two or three! Los factores a tener en cuenta para la hipertrofia son: 👉La tensión mecánica 👉El daño muscular 👉Estrés metabólico Estas variables se van a dar en cualquier entrenamiento que realicen, asique no se vuelvan locos, disfruten del entrenamiento y hagan algo que puedan sostener en el tiempo. Water helps all of our functions. A few examples are more efficient nutrient uptake, lower levels of stress on the heart, improved skin tone, and better hair quality. The simplest way to check hydration is to look at your pee. If it is clear to pale yellow you are hydrated. The darker and more color in your pee the less hydrated you are and more water you need to drink. • Water is the best way to hydrate. • Sports drinks are only needed for before, during, and after strenuous training or completion, don’t drink them simply because they taste good. • Flavorings, Crystal Lite, and other additives simply give your system more to process and cause it further strain. What is the difference and what cardio should YOU be doing? •HIIT cardio (high intensity interval training) is where you go all out for the work time. And I mean all out. You should feel like you couldn’t give more. Sometimes you can have weights, no weights or this is on a machine. The benefits of this type of cardio is that it is quick and effective. You can get some strength and cardio in less than 25 minutes. This is perfect for the busy type. •Steady state cardio is like walking or going very easy on a machine. Your heart rate doesn’t go too high and you would be able to do the exercise all day. The benefits of this exercise is that anyone and everyone can do it. It can give you calmness and easy on your body. •Interval training is cardio that you go harder for a certain time with a rest. No weights and is done on a machine or outside. Simply go for 1 minute at a certain speed and than rest for 1 minute. The benefit of this is that you can go harder and get your heart rate up and have time to recovery. This type of cardio can be quick as well with lots of calories burned. Perfect for someone that likes to lift and add in some cardio. Doing HIIT with weights and lifting weights can cause burnout so this is another way to get the intense cardio without weights. •MISS (moderately intense steady state) this exercise is running, elliptical, stair machine etc. You will work harder than steady state. Think of runners. The benefits of this type of working out is that you burn more calories than steady state. You don’t have to do long durations of this. Too much MISS can stop you from gaining muscle or it helps you lose muscle. Basically do what’s best for you and what you enjoy! I am so effing thrilled. I took a leap and hired @JordanSyatt from @syattfitness as my online coach (the best coaches also have {the best} coaches!). He's a pretty well-respected name in the biz and it a phenomenal strength coach. We've been working together maybe 2 months now, and Ive sent him some form videos for his critique along the way. He sent me back a sound clip in response to my sending him a deadlift video (my heaviest ever) and literally said my technique was "fucking amazing".
