The slow parts are very atmospheric filling the theme with horrific sensation. The drums and percussion are more energetic and active, with blistering blast beats added on each track. Scorched evokes the old school death metal sound with perfection, the early Cannibal Corpse influence are very clear. The vocals scream his lungs with fury, while the blast beats are incredibly fast. Many death metal bands use the sci-fi horror samples in their songs, but Scorched makes a great use of these samples although they are few parts on some of the tracks, the riffs are exuded with excellent tremolo pickings. Bodies Collect and Exhibits of torture are levelled with higher pace; this album shows how the band actually evolved into one gigantic beast.
The album has a multi aspect when it comes to music. They are brutal, punchy and deliver a number of quality riffs which are provided with each track. Ecliptic Butchery reeks with old school stench of gore and subtly applies the horrific themes to give this record a mortifying feel. The heavy riffage are very effective, also the melodies are distilled but overly the guitars are levelled with technicality. Darkness Infests is a prime example when it comes to precision and execution. It also denotes that band sounds wicked than ever; forget their debut album this is more focused when it comes to song writing. The lead guitar on Barbarous Experimentation throws some fine rhythm with the bass guitar aligned perfectly. There is so much groove here going on, the vocals are very close to Incantation style but Scorched are straight to the point on this record. The closing track is utilized with tremolo riffs and they are so overwhelmingly evil, Ecliptic Butchery is one of the best albums this year, death metal maniacs will certainly dig this fucking record!
